The decoration is nice, typical but not too much. Service is personalized And of course food is excellent... Saint-Pierre fish was especially great. Plus you always start with an amuse-bouche. And those are really good. I am going to live in Freudenstadt and I will...definitely take my guests for dinner there.

Based on the other ratings on tripadvisor, I had expected more than we got. This is a pretty good restaurant and is better than many of the more traditional restaurants in the area. I was just a little disapointed with the service and price quality ratio....Don't get me wrong you will have a good dinner here but my expectations were not met.

I go to this restaurant since I was a little young and I have to admit that it has never even disappointed me in my life, the menu is always up to date and very diversified. all ingredients are fresh and eat, even though it seems very international, has a certain modern black forest cuisine flair. Based on reviews, we booked a room at the Hotel Warteck. Upon arrival, we found that there was a very charming restaurant at the hotel. The menu looked interesting, so we decided to give it a try. 44 Euro prix fixe was well worth the...price! Dishes were creative and very tasty. The chef and waitstaff were helpful and attentive. Also, the room was fantastic (no 12)! Clean and big, with a nice buffet breakfast.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Warteck Hotel while visiting Freudenstadt, Germany. The day was cold and dreary so our party decided to dine at the hotel restaurant. We couldn't have been more pleased with our dining experience. The ambience is warm and...inviting, while the food is a true gourmet's delight. Chef Glassol is a creative genius. The presentation of the dishes made them almost too attractive to eat! We enjoyed both the venison and lamb main dishes and found that all of the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. The creme brulee and panne cotte were delicious also and capped off the perfect meal for a cold, rainy evening.

We dined here on a weekday evening and were the only people there. As a result the service was most attentive, although the waiter did seem to be quite new to the business. The food and wine were very good. The prices are above average...for Freudenstadt, but so is the quality. However, the vegetarian dishes are not only good but also much less expensive than meat and fish options. I had a excellent carrot and ginger soup for 5,50 €. The vegetarian main (gnocchi with spinach and tomato) cost around 15,00 €, also good and nicely presented.
