class location. inside or outside. as everyone likes. Perfect drinks, eat and cake class and very friendly staff despite lots of stress toilets very clean ... although used by many passersby and shop there is the sauce of curry sausage to buy ... perfect

The white dunes naturally live mainly from the great location on the east beach and the dense ambience.The eating is also always top, even if it is clearly recommended to choose meat or fish - especially if you sit inside, as the prices have the highest level on norderney. Outside, we would always recommend the classics as well as carving, currywurst or otherwise justified. above all the service is but his money worth and if you want to have a really top dinner in great ambiente, the white dune is always worth a trip!

We walked from Norderney town to this great restaurant in the middle of the dunes and close to the beach. It took us minutes in the heat so we enjoyed the cool temperatures inside and the excellent drinks. Food came in large portions and...tasted great probably the best „Matjes“ we had during our stay in Ostfriesland. Service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Despite a fully booked restaurant not too much waiting. At the end they even ordered a taxi for us for safe return. Is this a helpful review? They were super busy at the restaurant when we arrived after a hour walk along the beach. We stood and waited to sit for about min. There was no staff to help seat guests. Everyone had to fend for themselves. After we sat...we noted that the place settings were made of cow hide hair still on and we wondered about the logistics of keeping them clean even though a good shake or two removed the crumbs of our predecessors. We had the draft beer excellent and the potato and tomato cream soups. Both were a wee bit over salted but tasty nonetheless we were hungry. Unbelievable restaurant on this small island in the North Sea. If they don't have at least one Michelin Star, they deserve one, maybe two. Fabulous food elegantly presented. I started with a golden beet soup. Then I had lamb steak served with wild mushroom risotto...and ratatouille. For dessert I chose a plate of several different chocolate dessert samples: chocolate mousse, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, etc. It was a work of art, almost too beautiful to eat. Others in my party had similar experiences with fish dishes and vegetarian options, chosen from a menu that includes both standard fare as well as many chef specials of the day. This restaurantcafelounge area is situated about meters from the beach but is hidden behind large sand dunes so you cant see the sea from it.... However if you've spent most of your day at the beach or just cycling around Norderney it's the ideal...place to stop and eatrest. It is very busy and at time it's hard to find a seat... But be patient and you'll get one as people move on fairly fast. The seating outside is large comfortable couches. They tend to be hard to get as people spend ages just sitting outside.
