Found this place by accident. Was looking for something else then found this corner restaurant in a, fairly, unassuming street. On a summer's night you can sit outside by the quiet street or under the trees and enjoy a good range of food and beers....But get there early! When we went we were very lucky to get a table, it was exceptionally busy obviously a place the locals rather than tourists know! Decent food for a decent price; well worth a visit. We like parking a bit off of Ku’damm when strolling the the streets on a Sunday afternoon. On our way back to the car, we discovered this lovely “Platz” and Weyers on the corner. The daily special looked interesting, so we decided to give it...a try. It beat our expectations. We tried two of the daily specials. Both were amazing. I strongly recommend. We decided to try the Apfelstrudel (served warm) as dessert, and were not disappointed. Give it a try on a sunny afternoon outside.

This street has several great looking places to eat. It's the appearance (looking in the window from the street) that got me to try it. It was pretty good but I ordered a TERRIBLE special. It was tart flambe with way too much pumpkin in...big chunks. I make better tart flambe. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is good. So I would try again but be much more careful about what I order. I told the waiter what I thought. He was nice but said that some people like it. Hard to imagine.

This is a restaurant, café and pub in the neighbourhood, which is beautifully situated in a quiet sidestreet on a big open place with no traffic yet totally in the center of Berlin. From the arrival, everybody in this place was very friendly and...keen on making you feel happy. Service looked after us very quickly, drinks came very fast and were very well mixed and chilled. The young man looking after us was very polite and always there when needed. Great job! They have a wide varierty of food and a great vegetarian choice. Great location, great menu ... on paper! We ordered Tandoori chicken and clearly the chef thought that this means spicy crumbed chicken? Perhaps they actually need a chef! The potions were big on the “padding” sides around the main theme ingredient and actually did not...satisfy the average guest at all. I was embarrassed to subject my family to this experience, esp. since it is not a budget meal. I really expected better. My view is that if you offer a meal that is well known on a world wide culinary level then you at least should do it fairly closely! Please give the cook a lesson in using Google ... it may then actually taste like something! I have been here many times in the past however...

We are staying at the Hotel Abba as part of a Cosmos tour. We wanted a good German dinner close to the hotel and based on some reviews, we chose Weyer Cafe. It was a short, pleasant walk -about 2 blocks. We arrived about 6...on a Tuesday evening and they were busy but not overly. We were seated right away and our waiter was very friendly, switching easily into English when we struggled with our limited German. My husband ordered the schnitzel and I the roulade. Our meal came out quickly and it was DELICIOUS! The Roulade came with red cabbage and potatoes that were surprisingly flavorful. Cafe Weyers used to be our favourite spot for breakfast and dinner, and we've been coming here for the past 12 years during our visits to Berlin (at least twice a year). What happened? The whole restaurant is filled with cigarette and cigar smoke, as...no one bothers to close the mandatory door between the smoking and non smoking sections. We asked politely to have the door shut, and were met with a stern look of disapproval from the very irritated waitress. We had to ask 3 times before she reluctantly closed the door.
