Normally a decent pub, but service and food quality really bad on this occasion. Not sure if we were unlucky or if it has just generally gone downhill.

Waitress was lovely looked after us really well. Food was good had starters and mains all very tasty. Was a quiet night in the pub by it always a pleasure

I had the roast beef which was excellent, the best roast dinner I’ve had in years. Service was really good, attentive but not rushed at all. Lovely atmosphere, can’t praise it enough.

This is a beautiful old premises, perfectly restored and plenty space out the back for parties etc. We ate in the sun in the garden near the River Mole. Prices were good. No complaints.

Beautiful pub inside and out. The round table was in a very attractive room. The waitress, Alice, was very attentive and efficient and the food (roast) was superb. Will definitely return.

Food (we had trout) cooked to perfection, includng the vegetables. Delicious! Extensive menu of both traditional and innovative desserts. We really had a wonderful meal. Service, provided by Jo, was excellent.

We found this pub on the internet while you stay overnight at Gatwick Airport. It was wonderful to go to this old pub, get out of the airport and instead a very nice meal in a friendly English pub. We'll go back there.
