"A few hundred meters in front of the local sign is still in Munich the traditional restaurant “Zur Deutschen Südsee Insel” “bei Manfred”, a grounded cook from Austria. For a long time, we have been enjoying its cuisine and of which we prefer the Styrian specialities. Only recently has the operators changed in the restaurant, so the operation is still in the reconciliation phase and not yet in the centrite of the feasible. We take place in the lasy beer garden under one of the parasols and are immediately noticed by the service and supplied with the original menus. On the chalkboards on the wall of the beer garden are still the dishes of the daily ticket. After a short period of study of the gastric roadmap, we are asked about our wishes. The result, a white beer alcohol-free from the brewery King Ludwig from Kaltenbrunn to € 3.00, a dark white beer also from Kaltenbrunn to € 3.00, a cyclist 0.5l to € 2.80 and a lemon limo 0.5l to € 2.65. After a short time, the service brings the drinks, everything is well maintained and well-tempered and also tastes good. For the physical well we order beef broth with pancake strips to € 2,80, Schnitzel Wiener Art with salad and Pommes frittes at € 9,90, 1⁄2 backhendl with salad and pumpkin seed oil dressing at € 10,90, from the International part of the menu the curry sausage with pommes at € 5,90 of the supplement salad ordered. Unfortunately, as the last of a longer serpent of hungry customers, we have given up the order, so our waiting period is extended and we are allowed to watch the other guests enjoying their dish. To divert and combat hunger, we order 2 fresh Brezn per € 0.90 and we are in a cheerful position. Juhu, we are on, all dishes taste very good, the salads are fresh, the dressing well balanced between the different flavors. Soups with fresh pancake strips and in good broth. The curry is not too sharp and the pommes are very good for all dishes. The Backhendl was crusty, not too fat, fried and delicate, excellent. In short, despite waiting time we have eaten very good and inexpensive and are satisfied. The toilets correspond to the construction style of the late 70s, brown-toned and high-covered, but are clean and pleasant. A repeated visit is unavoidable especially with Hendlhunger."
