"Came here for a quick pick me up after work craving a pizza. There didn't seem to be any other notable options in the area so this place seemed logical.. Being a weeknight and on my own they had no issues seating me. I opted for one of their outdoor seats just outside the entrance as it was a lovely evening. The table was prompty wiped down, menus were provided and my order taken. I very quickly knew what I wanted and that was the olives and calzone. The food took around 20ish minutes but it was worth the wait. The Calzone was plump and the encasing bread was delicious. The filling could've been a bit more loaded with the advertised toppings of chicken and pepperoni but that is a minor complaint as the overall taste was great and it was a very satisfying meal. I didn't see the need to order anything else as the Calzone was filling enough. The service was quick and efficient and they provided me with a whole bottle of tap water to myself which I massively appreciated. What I will say is that the place is a bit pricey £15.25 for the calzone but where isn't at the moment? How can restaurants not raise prices without compromising on quality given the apocalyptic econonic climate? So with that in mind, I'm still happy to give it a 5 and would recommend anyone who likes pizza to visit as you won't be dissappointed. I will certainly be coming back for the calzone picante! Update came back for the Calzone Picante. Shame I can't add more stars to my rating because it was incredible! "I made a reservation for dinner with friends during the week, but when we arrived, there was no table reserved and the pub was quite crowded with people drinking and playing pool. We had checked the menu online beforehand and were told that it would be the same on the day. However, there were some discrepancies - for example, the chicken bites did not have a choice of sauces as advertised online and the description of the food was different. Despite this, we decided to order the chicken bites. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, we were very disappointed. The fries looked pale and seemed to be similar to frozen oven chips from the supermarket, served in a plain white bowl. The breaded chicken bites were served in a separate white bowl and had no sauce as mentioned on the menu. When we asked for the sauce, the server seemed confused and eventually brought some sauce drizzled on top. The chicken bites were dry and tasteless, and the overall presentation of the food was lacking, with everything just placed on cheap white plates and bowls. It seemed that the quality of the food did not match what was shown on the website. Additionally, we had a dog jumping up at us while we were trying to eat. Overall, while the pub may be a good spot for drinks, the food was subpar. I wish I had taken photos to show the disparity between what was advertised online and what we were served. "This was our fourth attempt at dining at this restaurant. Despite the big sign outside saying it was open, it was closed when we came three previous occasions. The car park is dimly lit, with no marked bays, and there is no indication of where you should park. There are plant pots along one edge which you cannot see in the dark, so can easily scratch your car. The restaurant is nicely laid out but looks like a function room, waiting for the tables to be removed for the next function. On the table setting the knives faced outwards, which I had never seen in a restaurant before, but the tables looked nice. I ordered a Diet Coke, which arrived lukewarm with a single small ice cube in it and no lemon. It tasted like Coke Zero, much sweeter than Diet Coke. We started with the mini pappadums, which were not totally unlike pappadums small and crispy. They came with some sweet sauces but no achar. The chicken tikka croquettes were bright red but not very spicy, accompanied by a perfectly acceptable mango sauce. These were followed by a plate of 5 garlic prawns, which were pleasantly garlicky. The main course was a bright red 'Old Delhi Butter Chicken ' it was totally unlike any butter chicken I had ever seen. The sauce was very 'tomatoey ' and bland. The chicken had a strange mushy, pasty quality almost like it had been reconstituted or at least frozen and cooked for a long time. My wife had the kitchen curry, which was also bright red and bland. The nan was different from a normal nan thicker and more bread like. It was not what we were expecting. We often travel to India, and this was quite unlike any Indian food we have ever had before. Overall I would rate the experience as 'confusing '."
