"Kitchen had an absolute nightmare, food didn't come out together and when it did it was wrong. Please consider adding a warning to Open Table that they run a quiz on a Wednesday. Having dinner shouting over a loud microphone and a bunch of fat beardy nerds shouting and swearing whilst doing their quiz wasn't much fun."

"We came last night restaurant empty there was only one other table in there at the time. Starters took ages to come out. Undestably the fair was on so soon realised the chef was busy making food for them to sell outside a priority over the customers in restaurant. Luckily kids food came out with starters. At this point more customers in restaurant. Saw a table who came in after us get there mains and we were still waiting. Another tables asked where there's was and waitress was really ride and said its coming. Eventually after we kept looking round someone came to clear are plates after over 20min wait and asked for children's ice creams and our food. He said it was just coming. Kids got there icecreams and we still hadn't had our main. It then came out and lady took it to another table. Theb to another table and we had to call her over to say it was ours. Food was lovely just poor service last night when there was plenty of staff. Then had a 10% service charge added onto bill which under normal circumstances I wouldn't mind but when the service was that slow I asked for it to be removed. Hopefully a one off. Starters and main quite expensive."

"We were early evening 6:30 and even though they warn you of delays, as the food is cooked to order, we didn't expect it to take quite so long. The food was good but the service was abysmal. Our six mains came out but no cutlery with it. That arrived and we pointed out we were a portion of fries missing. This was rectified immediately. My salmon had coriander and I had requested none. It was taken away, brought back coriander free (I didn't want the salmon replaced, too wasteful, except it wasn't, there it was under the fish. I scraped it off and put it to the side. When the table was cleared and I pointed out the error, the waitress asked if I'd ordered it without, yes, I said. Oh, my bad was her reply. Hmmn! Two lots of ice cream were ordered, it took them 20 minutes to tell us they didn't have one of the flavours and a further 10 to bring the alternative (one had now been cancelled , again no spoon on a very hot evening! The bill had the full amount for the salmon and both ice creams, though one had been cancelled. They did, after I complained, remove the salmon and one ice cream and I felt like they were doing me a favour! Won't be visiting there again."

"I typically enjoy dining at this restaurant, but I was very disappointed when I visited last week for one of their banquet meals. The menu was limited compared to their usual offerings and the portion sizes were small. We asked for an extra starter after we finished our meal, and they reluctantly obliged. The duck and pancakes we ordered were tiny, and when we asked for another serving, they seemed unhappy but brought us a small but delicious portion. We ordered three main dishes, as well as a half portion of noodles and some rice. They told us we had ordered a lot of food and would have to pay full menu prices if we didn't finish everything, which was not something we had encountered before at Parasol restaurant. The customer experience at Chiba Thai was disappointing this time around, unlike the welcoming and generous service we had come to expect."

"R&R is almost entirely responsible for any and all sense of well-being I derive from my time in Oxfordshire. They even put up with Starbucks leaving their mugs on R&R tables, a clear breach of etiquette, and the staff have to put up with the swarms of entitled upper-class coffee-goers in Abingdon who collapse in paroxysms of fright when things take longer than 30 seconds to brew/bake/make to order. If I see one more negative review on this Google page, I’ll develop a stress-related aneurysm and perish. There’s a reason R&R is mentioned three times in the Bible."
