"We've been back to SEO for a long time to go to Italian food. Forward: We had no place yet. Unfortunately, SEO has deteriorated significantly compared to 2 years. At first we had to wait almost 5 minutes at the entrance until the staff noticed us and gave us a place. However, on the one hand we were disappointed by the buffet, which was so empty at that time. Numerous pots were empty, plates were only available on request and many dishes that existed were only lukewarm but delicious. The different pizzas were not explained so that we only knew what pizza it is. Interestingly, when the guests suddenly went around 20h, numerous dishes were refilled. Wrong timing? It is good to highlight the employees who have always tried. It's all the more sad to give this restaurant a shortage. We were really appalled by hygiene. The black marble slabs on the buffet were dirty and smeared. The plates on which the filling spoons lay were also before dirt. Such deficits should not be. Clean the buffet every 15 minutes with a clean cloth, exchange the filling spoons and storage compartments and make the entire buffet a neat and, above all, clean impression. This lack of hygiene is also reflected in the toilets. Too bad, because the concept is really great and the staff nice- even if it looked like overrequest. Maybe this will change positively. We will give SEO a chance as the price does not appear excessive. Please back to old strength, love SEO! Team!"

"We had lunch here after going up to Altenburg with our friends. The of us, one year old, had lunch here, in the cool shaded garden, where we enjoyed our German lunch and beers. The Leicht Raucherbier had a very slight smoky smell...and not very smokey, so if you don't like the regular one, this might be one to try. I actually prefer the darker stronger one. The Radler had a nice lemonade taste to it, more so than some others I have had. The potato salad I had was the typical German one with vinegar not mayo, which I prefer, but it was lacking in some tartness, perhaps needed more vinegar. The curry sauce, I had the Curry Wurst, was delicious! Not really sweet and just a good flavor with a crunchy wurst, cooked just right and shaped into a horseshoe. The Applesauce that came with the Potato Baggers, that one of our friends ordered, was not sweet and tasted excellent! The baggers weren't greasy and tasted just right to the friend that had them, while his son really enjoyed them and the fries. one of our friends wanted to buy a ceramic beer stein, and had gone shopping the day before, finding just a couple in the inner city for euros, which was ok, but the steins were not that interesting. Funny enough, he found two for and Euros, and they were the ones sold here. He bought the cheaper one, b/c he liked the smooth texture and the design was simpler. Good service here even without the English menus. A great place to just sit around, drink a beer, eat some food and relax. Not a lot of tourists here, which is nice."

"We have wanted to go here for 2 weeks now, but never seemed to make it. The cafe was recommended for their Rhubarb pie, but unfortunately we came around 5 and they were out at 4. So, we had their Wiener Apfel Strudel with vanilla ice cream, some whip cream and a half slice of strawberry. I don't eat whip cream, so my spouse got mine, but the strawberry was good and so was the ice cream. They heat up the pie, which is nice, but the actual crust around the pie reminds me of Baklava, which is not really something I think fits apple pie. So, heated and good ice cream, but not going to have the apple pie again. However, my spouse liked it, as it was different from what he was used to, but still tasty. His Latte Machiato was good, but the prices for drinks and the pies are definitely higher than other cafes where we have had better. Ours cost 6.50 each for the Apfel Strudel. So, while we will go to try their Rhubarb pie, we will skip their apple and their scoops cost the same as other places, they have some interesting flavors and if the vanilla is an indication, the other flavors are probably really good. Our server was pleasant, and had we needed to get everything translated to English he would have, but since not, we spoke in German. The people watching is good, but if you are used to eating in the States where even outside there is no smoking allowed, that is not true here in Germany, which is usually not an issue, tho here the tables are so close, the smoke goes into your face. Went back for their Rhubarb pie and they weren't out, so we both ordered one and really enjoyed it! In fact, of the 4 places I have had this treat, this is the first in the ratings. Yummy! The crust was perfect, the sweetness just right. My spouse had the whipping cream on the pie, and he said it wasn't sweet, so that was fine with him. He too felt that it was the best we had eaten so far at a cafe. He had a Cappuccino this time, and it was a bit sweeter than the Cafe Macchiato, so next time he will stick with the Cafe Macchiato. Pleasant service again, got a table under the umbrellas and enjoyed people watching again. This is the place to go for Rhubarb pie!"
