"Lovely pub, not a lovely experience . Sunday Lunch Before we visited we looked up the menu for Sunday lunch The download menu states £19.50 , I think for Beef or lamb. But if you just check Sunday lunch menu at the top of pubs website, it states £21.00 Beef or Pork When you arrive they fancy their chances by charging £24.50 , Beef or lamb Also says you get cauliflower cheese, we didn 't , but we did get one and a half carrots , and the beef for the price was well over cooked . Overall the meal was poor. We wanted sticky toffee pudding for dessert , they had no sticky toffee pudding. Landlord was rude too, serving staff were pleasant. Overall, not recommended , maybe an off day on the food front, but no excuse for the misleading, varied prices depending on where you happen to look. If the Crown thinks it can push its prices for close to £25 , or £21 or £19.50 for a basic roast dinner, it needs to be the best pub Sunday lunch in the area, it 's nowhere near , maybe go back to £15.00 , and work up from there until the offering is representative of the price.
