"if they do not regularly travel to one of the numerous fairs and shows to düsseldorf and decide to book their hotel too late, they will never find this Greek restaurant in new. I will explain... when we decided to travel to the prowein 2015 to düsseldorf, every single hotel in the city was booked out so we had to try to find something close, within a taxi or a train ride. the available and not sinful expensive hotel was noticeable in neuss norf. the Greek restaurant karyatis is located near the railway station of this tiny suburban town. we were stumbled over when we returned from the first day of the weinshow. we were tired, hungry and it was right there. Around 23 o'clock the place was full of natives – we valued it as very good sign. the only part of the restaurant, which lies away from the usual tourist trails, is this missing any English menus. the personal also did not speak English and unfortunately none of us spoke German. in which, if not one of the masters and his wife, who would randomly speak something English, we would probably have ordered everything wrong. the menu was in German and Greek! but here ended the strange and confusing. when we sat down, we were served immediately shots by ouzo as a welcome drink – I found this a nice gesture. after consultation with the customer we ordered our appetizers and the main course. in a few minutes the waiter brought us fabulous German brot and butter. shortly after we got our appetizers... and then our main dish – eating was simply extraordinary! menu: if you can read Greek or German, there is a large selection of traditional Greek dishes with a hauch of European flair. the portions are huge and very close to those served in the usa. my friend had the shrimps in a tomato sauce as an appetizer and a pfeffersteak as a main dish. I had the mushrooms in a cheese sauce and a zipura table as a main dish. we finished our diner with a traditional Greek dessert – yogurt with honey and walnuts. every single dish was a dream! the garnel in a tomato sauce was very delicate and well balanced. my mushroom appetizers were quite good, but for my food something too rich – the combination of cheese and saw it almost made a main dish. While the pfeffersteak was absolutely great, the Zipura court was not from this world! They served all the fish, baked, with a little spinach and slightly burnt kartoffels. if they like seafood and fish, they just have to taste this dish! the open wine selection and the usual selection of German beer.Price: for the quality of the food and the beautiful ambiente the prices were quite reasonable. Direction: S11-Bahn in direction northen von "düsseldorf hbf" - it is exactly 42 minutes drive to neuss norf (nord). if you want to enjoy the delicious Greek food in düsseldorf or recently, karyatis should be on their gastronomic route!"

"who understands a good Greek restaurant a local with column imitations, Sirtaki music and huge meat plate, is wrong in plokami. the local is designed as I know it from Greece: sober wood furniture with little buckling taste, but free view of the open kitchen. and also what comes from the kitchen is original Greek. not sprouts with grilled meat, but fresh fish, tasty appetizers, lamb, leber and of course gyros. the portions are large enough to be filled, but do not beat one. Just like in Greece, where you can order several-small dishes next to each other the whole food from the appetizer plate over the fish and the meat dishes up to the fried sandwich potatoes and the herbalate are fresh before the eyes of the guests prepared and taste very delicious. 30 places rather small. in summer it has an outside terrace, but reservation is recommended. the service is very friendly, even if at a great level something overwhelmed. since every dish is only prepared on order, you should bring some time and enjoy one of the delicious weines. very positiw is the pricing. not cheap, but inexpensive for the quality offered. positiw also, which is not trying to make about the drinks, conversion. a cup (very tasty) coffee for under 2 euro, which is unfortunately hardly found in gastronomy. Particularity: in the local there is a small load, where you can buy many of the used ingredients (oils, olives) and fresh fish. Conclusion: a real enrichment of the newest of the restaurant scene."

"if they are an Italian in new and need a real Italian experience, michele is the nr 1. michele and his tasty woman nina lead the business very long and their suggestions are good their call because the entrance when they are greeted with a smile and cordial welcome from the great heart of South Italy. as soon as they 're in, well, they check the menù that suits for all taste, and without too many formal favors their appetit will not just be happy, but I say 'd really happy. they can start with fresh antipasti vegetables, or finally bruschetta with tomato slices in olive oil extravergine, and go on for exams, with linguine al tartufo nero (black truffles.) as yesterday I had linguine tonight I decided to try her filetto al pepe verde and I have against any good wise with cremet. the foreigners should remember that a real Italian filetto should still be red, so if they 're surprised it's a mistake or a quick portion. they should order a taxi, because if they start with brunello di montalcino or prosecco, they will be at risk while driving the car, but very happy in their mood. coffe, to be exclusively espresso strong, and a good tender grappa at the end, perhaps with a good dessert, would have been her evening happy to be here. prices are absolutely honest when considering the continuing inflation, and up to the quality (price cheap eating) and they can pay cash or credit card. May I recommend booking in advance, especially during the exhibitions time, because the local is not big, they must wait without reservation. to signora nina, michele and her personal wish my best for her family business, which I will recommend to my friends who are willing to try a really Italian experience in new. P.S for those born in the 60s, if not too many people, or at a later time, they will be able to be the best Italian music of the 70s, the 80s, to delicate volume, such as adriano celentano, albano and romina, ricchi e poveri, matia bazar, etc., if it was still Italian itals."
