"We make a beeline for this delightful café every time we go to Ste Maxime. Its red and white colour scheme gives it an ice-cream parlour feel which sounds a bit tacky but it works. The cakes are a work of art and taste wonderful. There is a lot of choice but I always have the Tarte Criton as the pastry and lemon filling are so light, tangy and fresh. They make wonderful coffee and tea which they serve with a little sliver of their own chocolate on the side which is a nice touch. The breakfast and lunch menu looks good and there is a super ice-cream/cocktail menu which we keep meaning to try. The café is well located and has a good atmosphere and the staff are very nice. I would highly recommend."

"For 4 years, the small zinc is a must we like to enjoy from the beginning of our holiday. And we are always very welcome!This time, it is the salmon gravelax and the tomatoes of the country with the burrata that made our delights. As for the blonde chocolate pana cota, it is impossible to describe: you must taste it! thanks again for our taste buds and the warmth of your ah welcome I forgot the wines. The temptations are great and we are never disappointed by the proposals of these epicureans to whom we feel at home."

"restaurant to be recommended for a pleasant lunch at correct price. for the same price as in a restaurant offering an entry-plat-dessert menu, we preferred the aperitif dish to share (beignets of calamars) followed by the dish of the day with a much more varied selection of desserts and the coffee included. fast service and very appreciated sauces with calamars and fish. We went back in the afternoon for refreshments. juices are very good."

"Truly terrible every 90% of the food had so much sugar it was barely edible, specifically the sauce you choose your self, i ordered satay which was actually not the worst it was sweet but this is okay for saté, My friend ordered chicken curry which normally can't be messed up it tasted like there was a Kilogram of sugar in it, My other friend ordered Hot and spicy and it also just tasted like sugar i think when they ''cook the food in the wok with sugared water''. Later i got chicken mushrooms and onion and asked for no sauce they cooked these on the stove and they werent sweet so it must be added at the wok stage in the end the my friend went to the bathroom to get sick after discovering the beef skewer she got cooked also was raw and bled into the curry only half an hour after leaving the restaurant me and my other friend vomited, I wouldn't go back staff were friendly though which i cant fault that service was great just everything pickled in sugar.There should be a warning for diabetic with every dish!"

"Service was attentive and friendly, food delicious with lots of authentic Moroccan flavours, generous amounts of fluffy couscous accompanied everything. Three of us had the tagine - chicken and veggie, all great, as was the pigeon and meguez sausage. Even the beer was Moroccan, and nice too. We wanted to find something tasty, reasonably priced, and not the standard Italian and French cuisine. This was a great alternative and half the price of the previous night's meal. Even the WC was special- gleaming tiles and spotlessly clean. A delightful evening."

"I had dinner here with my girlfriend. We where cought by the Mussels with cream. Nothing special... I mean the cream was quite good, but it is really difficult to eat without getting all dirty. I would suggest to make the dish separate: mussels in one dish and cream in another... Anyway I'm not a chef, this is just my opinion.Then we eaten some pasta and fish dishes. Pasta was completely without salt and non well coocked, other dished was acceptable...Service, slow but kind.Position good if you are walking in the center.Cheaper then other restaturants in the nearby."

"Went with my partner decided to eat inside as it was too hot for the terrace, quite small inside but there is an upstairs part to the restaurant. Our seat was near to the kitchen and personally I liked that as I could actually see some of our meals being prepared. The restaurant is actually quite cosy. The staff were excellent, however the manager was a little bit off when we refused an apertif and some wine for my partner as she had been suffering from a bad migraine. I actually explained this in French and fortunately her attitude changed. Our starters consisted of Gambas (Large prawns) in a sauce and also plate of foie gras ( sorry if you don't agree but I love this !) Both of us agreed that the starters were excellent. Our main course was the duck fillets which were very well cooked and succulent. Along with a mashed potato, fennel and tomato in a lovely sauce. We then had the house dessert and house creme caramel again both were very nice. I also had a glass of rose wine and sparkling water, in all the meal was excellent but cost €89 euros. I would eat there again although a bit pricey then again most restaurant's in Sainte Maxime are pricey."

"We were hoping to eat lunch at this restaurant during a brief drive through of Sainte Maxime. The restaurant had completed more than half the allotted time for the lunch service, and two of the six tables, in a covered space where all the diners were eating, were vacant. The barman signaled us to sit wherever we liked but the waiter over-fuled him and we were allowed neither table, but required to sit in the bar area just inside the doorway through which blew a cold December chill. The tables weren't reserved; they just weren't for non-French speaking visitors. We were, instead, offered the worst table in the house. Regretfully, as a couple who travel for food, we sometimes encounter this type of arrogant attitude. We maintain 'zero-tolerance' for this type of arrogance, so we can't review the food because we walked out. But the lack of service in this instance has encouraged us to warn prospective fellow diners. Dining out experiences should be a joy and a thoroughly pleasant experience from the time you enter the door (or phone for a reservation) until you pay the cheque. These restaurant owners need to be reminded of this. We hold them to account via this social media forum."

"Cote Jardin atmosphere is lovely (outside courtyard with artwork and statues - v. romantic), as is the waitor and the chef. Very friendly and welcoming. Our first course was great but we were both a little let down by the main (BBQ lamb / BBQ tuna). Overcooked and small portion. Unfortunately I was also sick the day after. Cannot say for definite it was becuase of something I ate there though. I think they could up the prices (it's pretty cheap here) and offer large portions of fish/meat. What was really excellent was the wine advice! They have a selection of wines, and the waitor could give detailed advice. They even let us buy a bottle to take home with us as it was getting pretty late by the time we finished."

"We went there for a day on the beach.The beach area was nice and the boy serving in the beach area was polite and very nice.However, we did the mistake of ordering lunch there. We ordered spaghetti foormaderi (or something). When they food arrived we realized they brought us a wrong dish. We complained and instead of saying sorry and bringing us the right dish, the manager said that he brought the wrong dish and we just ordered the incorrect dish and asked us how we could make this mistake. Very rude.In the end, when having received the correct dish it was fairly good.As there are so many places at the beach side by side with the same facilities but better service I would recommend going there instead."

"On the positives its nice clean and on the beach front away from the drain smells you get from some places in Sainte maxine. It stops there. To set you off you get the standard olive tapanard and bread, but the bread was stale. I selected the 3 course set menu, prawns to start with a Salad. It was swimming in oily dressing, the I had A white fish dish which was ok, but surprisingly it too was swimming in this time olive brine and it made it almost impossible to eat. The sorbet was my dessert and it was ok and saved my tastebuds from certain oil overload! My wife for a ceaser salad with no dressing and loads of bacon with little actual salad in it???To top it off we had the pleasure of being charged €9 For a bottle of mineral water you can get from the supermarket for 15c VERY POOR!"

"Accueil souriant et chaleureux. Cuisine excellente. Bien équilibrée tout en étant gourmande. Les saveurs sont bien là. La décoration est sympa, la petite terrasse très agréable. Le service est rapide et bienveillant. Les prix sont parfois un peu élevés mais reste tout de même raisonnable pour ce qui est proposé. C'est un lieu qui change de ce qu'on a l'habitude de trouver et c'est très appréciable (un des rares lieux sur la côte où les personnes ayant des intolérances, allergies légères ou tout simplement un mode d'alimentation autre peuvent trouver leur bonheur). "As the title says "Excellent". The location, the service, the cleanliness. It all added up to a great experience on the coast.We called in for an evening meal and i'm glad we did. We got seated straight away. The chairs were comfy and well spaced out. There was a good selection on the menu. I opted for the 1kg of mussels. Whilst waiting i had a beautiful Sex on the Beach cocktail and nibbled on the bread for the table. The food came and it was presented spectacularly. Whilst i have had better mussels they were very nice. Will be back here in a few months and i'm looking forward to it."

"We booked the table for 3 people at 9:30. arrived on site we are told to wait . 8 people arrive without reserve have the installs and we are always waiting . We made them notice that we are the .the servers are telling the boss about our discontent but nothing to do. We're taking a bottle of wine in the meantime. 10 a.m. a table that liberates. ouf. once we sit down we order. we are served at 11 am. I took the 1/2 lobster on the map. A big shrimp would have done the business. 21 euros anyway. The boss always has nothing to make remarks. not even a small gesture .café 2.50 euros on the note .grande disappointment finished results to be taken for fools . many things to see especially the boss who does not accept any remarks. We wouldn't go back home. It's on..."

"small simple establishment located in the artisanal area of the ferrat camp. it does not pay a mine, but the welcome is very warm and the homemade dishes are very good and well presented. We tasted the fisherman's pot (excellent,) the couscous, and the calf's head.Perfect and we return there regularly."

"We visited La Derive for the final meal of our honeymoon and it was a great meal. Sainte Maxine was a bit hectic as it was a sat so we bundled our way in. My wife had the goatcheese and honey salad and I had an amazing steak with the red wine sauce that was the best sauce of the week, (the best steak was at L'cademy). The rose was ok but after a week of over indulgence on rose wine they were all starting to taste the same! Great end to a lovely week! The restaurant was quiet clean with a nice layout."

"Twice before have I given you my opinion about La Voile. And once again l feel the urge to share my latest experience with you. Bernard and his lovely wife have done some upgrading to the place but still managed to maintain the good, old cosyness and style and are now better prepared to serve their clients wonderful meals no matter the weather. In addition to the quite unique mast and sails " protecting" their guests from the hot summer sun and to a degree from winds, a sliding roof is now in place, making the restaurant fit for any weather conditions. The same familiar face of the " gentilles organizateurs" bears a strong proof of La Voile being a nice place to work, and the crew never fails to make you feel welcome and they will take good care of you. And so do the cooks!! We chose Avocado and Shrimp tartar for entre. Delectable, succulent and wonderful fresh with a bottle of good rose'. Our main course was Filet de Beuf, medium rare with those small, tasty potatoes and what l claim is the best peppersauce in Provence. Impeccable with red Minuty. For dessert : Tiramisu. Light and fresh. We will be back next week for sure!!!Tore Y Samuelsen"

"This restaurant is attached to Hotel Les Santolines and is run by the brother of the sister that runs the hotel but that aside there isn't a formal link, e.g thi is not where the hotel guest have their breakfast. The terrace looks out over the pool of the hotel and is pleasant.The service here is satisfactory but the food, whilst reasonable, is nothing to write home about. Everything on the Cote d'Azur is expensive which one has to accept but then you certainly become more conscious of the need for, if not a 'wow' factor, then at least something memorable and this restaurant didn't meet either requirement.My soupe de poisson was, frankly, tasteless and thin. I have had better out of a jar and the duck to follow was fine but the orange sauce was again bland and limited in quantity. Presentation was, as is normally the case, very good but we would like to have been more excited by this place as we were staying at the hotel and would have used it more if we'd been more impressed. The wine list was decent but the wine we originally chose was out of stock, however, the alternative suggested was very pleasant."
