"My family recently tried to visit the Aspire Lounge at Birmingham Airport, but unfortunately, we were turned away at the entrance as the lounge was fully booked. Even with our Priority Pass, we were unable to gain entry without a reservation. Despite our best efforts to charm our way in, we were met with a firm refusal. The highlight of the experience was the lady at the desk, who seemed to take pleasure in denying us entry. It became clear that planning ahead is necessary to enjoy the luxury of the lounge. So, if you want to relax in a comfy chair with your child enjoying snacks, be sure to book in advance. Otherwise, you'll be left disappointed with vending machine snacks. We appreciate the exclusivity of the Aspire Lounge and the determination of its gatekeepers. We will come prepared next time!"

"I used to be a regular customer at Fans House but I have noticed a significant drop in the quality of food over the past year. I decided to order my usual chicken fried rice and try the Lemon Chicken for the first time. When I asked about the Lemon Chicken, they simply described it as "fried chicken with lemon," but I expected a dish with a light lemon sauce and some seasoning. Unfortunately, the dish was drenched in sauce, making the batter soggy and the chicken chewy. I was not impressed with the dish so I did not even bother to take a picture before throwing it away. The chicken fried rice was decent, and the delivery was surprisingly fast, almost too fast. The garnish of a slice of lemon and spring onion seemed unnecessary and overdone."

"My very elderly mother and I wanted breakfast but we were 4 minutes late . We were served by someone quite unhelpful (very quickly redeemed by Polly the supervisor who is always outstanding) I asked if there was any other food and was told no, I said can you do toast , Polly pointed out the 11.30 menu that was very suitable for a breakfast alternative. The restaurant and the store were exceptionally cold . Staff were wearing coats. My mum could not get warm and couldn’t try clothes on in the changing rooms. Not great .. but Polly was so helpful ."

"We booked close to Christmas for a meal party of 15 people and everyone of us was really impressed at the high standard of the food ,which is made to order in an open plan highly on show kitchen. The staff were welcoming and the service was pretty good. This place is very bright and does not have the intimate atmosphere of a traditional Italian but it is clean and is really hard to fault. We hope to be back soon. A bonus is that it is reasonably priced. The mushroom risotto was as good as I have ever had."

"Sadly the whole experience was disappointing , the chefs table was missing quiet a few items that were not replenished no prawn cocktails and no chocolate muffins to mention only 2 lines we waited about 25 minutes for the mains after finishing what starters were available . I had to ask 2 different members of staff for plates for the starters and the room was packed with people shouting as they watched the rugby which is fair enough but not the environment you want to be eating food with children feeling quite threatened by all the shouting . Have previously enjoyed the whole experience but have never been there when a major sporting event was on . Not a great time with a lot of hassle to get a below average dining experience. Have always told friends and colleges how good the village is but feel somewhat different now ."

"The Arden Hotel was clearly sign posted which made locating the Burgundy Restaurant within the Arden Hotel and Leisure Club nice and easy. Plenty of parking spaces, free for customers using the restaurant by validating the parking ticket at reception on the way out. The staff were all very welcoming, smartly presented and professional. Me and my friend went there for an afternoon tea experience which was given as a birthday gift. On our way into the restaurant we were greeted by Jane, who effortlessly catered to our every need, offering to take pictures of the both of us with our tea, clotted cream and scones, delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes. We both enjoyed all aspects of the visit, Janes added personal touches made it that little bit more special. I would highly recommend to anyone considering going in the future."

"Doing a week long course about half a mile away for work and after three days of supermarket wraps and sandwiches I was craving something healthier and with more flavour. One of my colleagues did a quick look on google maps and spotted Falafel Munch, so on our break we went for a work. Falafel Munch is clean today and well presented giving a great first impression outside and in the shop. We were greeted quickly with a smile and the member of staff was patient while we decided. They have a fantastic range of wraps, salads, juices and smoothies. I ordered a salad and my colleague a wrap. The falafels are cooked to order and the server asked which salads we’d like: there’s a good selection including vine leaves, couscous, and all sorts of tasty bits. Everything was prepared with care and during the walk back to the training centre, we couldn’t wait to tuck in. We were not disappointed. Everything had perfect texture and flavour. I enjoyed my salad but really like the look of the wrap and will be back tomorrow for that! My carrot, apple and lime juice was refreshing and made to order too. More tomorrow please!!!"

"If I could rate this restaurant a 0, I would. I waited outside in the rain for over 45 minutes, but my order did not arrive. They claimed they had tried to contact me, but when I called back there was no answer. Eventually, they claimed they had come but never showed up, so they ended up canceling my order. When I called the restaurant to complain, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude, began swearing at me, and called me selfish. All I had said was that it was unacceptable to have waited outside for so long in the rain only to have my order canceled. This kind of service is disgraceful and disgusting. This was supposed to be my daughter's last takeaway before beginning chemo, but it was ruined by this terrible restaurant."

"Terrible experience! They were out of desserts, and the waiter didn’t even bother to inform us until later. He mentioned that the chef arrived late and didn’t have time to prepare any desserts. We also requested a bottle of Prosecco, but they didn’t have any available! Instead, they offered us Pinot Grigio. "we arrived back late around 8pm and had just missed out on the Friday burger special for £1.00 ended at 7.30 pm. So decided not to have the burger at the now price of £8.95 so order Fish and chips and a chicken wrap. Fish was quite bland, thin and tasteless but chips were delicious and in plentiful supply. The lad who served us was pleasant, polite and asked if everything was ok we decided not to complain as he was so nice. However at £10.95 for fish and chips its a bit steep for what it was. Our biggest gripe here is the cost of drinks and yet again we were not disappointed by the charges think by now we should have learned not to drink here but its only advantage is you do not have to drive whilst staying here. We ordered two Pina Coladas which was on a very large specials board behind the bar at £4.95 each only for the girl to ask for £12.00. When I questioned it she just said, sorry its now our new menu and that 's the price on the till. I said I was not interested in the cost n the till and pointed out the huge bill poster with the prices on only to be told I will see what I can do !! What I said you will charge me the advertised price that 's what you will do whereupon she gave me the difference in cost out of the till. I then went back to order a pint of Lager shandy only to see her put in the cost of the pint of Budweiser at £4.15, followed by a £0.70 splash cost for lemonade. I questioned what was the £0.70p for to be told its for the extra lemonade but I explained she had put in more than half a pint of lemonade and toped it up with Lager so I had not had a full pint of Lager not even a full half pint. She spoke to a lad behind the bar who said sorry its what we have to do on the till So a pint of Lager costs £4.15 a Pint and a Lager shandy using much less lager and watered down lemonade costs £4.85 an absolute joke and believe me next time will NOT BE DRINKINK HERE AGAIN What a complete Rip off"

"I only gave this restaurant a lower rating because two dishes I tried to order were sold out and my replacement dessert (pavlova) only had one slice of fruit. However, we dined quite late at 8pm and the restaurant was busy, so it seemed like they were running low on food. The staff were friendly and despite the fruit shortage in the pavlova, the meal was delicious and worth the price."

"When we arrived there was no staff around so we waited and after 20 minute mutes I had to go to the bar where I was told she was very busy and would get to us which she did 10 minutes later. We sat in the bar to have a drink but 30 minutes later I had to go to look for a member of staff. There were none in the restaurant. Back to the bar! A gentleman there said he would go to look for someone! Eventually we were shown to a table and our afternoon tea was delivered 10 mins mutes later. Whilst we enjoyed our tea 3 members of staff were moving tables and chairs all around us. An hour later once again I had to go to the bar to ask for our bill! Very unsatisfactory. Whilst we enjoyed the food the service was appalling."

"To our surprise, I was asked to pay upfront even though we hadn’t received any food or drinks yet. I declined, opting to pay after our meal, a decision that proved wise. While we waited, a Just Eat delivery driver entered to pick up an order. He politely showed the manager his phone with the order number and requested that social distancing be maintained. Instead of cooperating, the manager shouted at him, refusing to hand over the food because he couldn’t see the phone clearly. He even told the driver to find another job and not to return. The manager then yelled across the restaurant for someone to handle the situation since he didn’t want to deal with the driver. A woman in a tracksuit eventually stepped in and handed the order to the driver while the manager continued to berate him for simply trying to do his job. After this disturbing encounter, the manager came to our table to justify his actions, claiming that if the driver needed to practice social distancing, he shouldn’t be a driver at all and that he had the right to check the driver’s phone. I disagreed, stating that the driver might have vulnerable family members and this job could be his only option. In an astonishingly inappropriate response, the manager exclaimed, “BUT I WAS HAPPY TO GO UP TO HIM AND HE COULD HAVE HAD AIDS!” I was taken aback and could hardly believe what I had just heard. He backpedaled slightly but continued insisting that the driver might be diseased. At that moment, our server returned to inform us that they had also run out of chili. In disbelief and disgust, we decided to leave. Overall, it was an appalling experience, completely marred by the ignorance of the staff. Would not recommend."

"Bought a small portion of chips from here this evening. What a disgrace it was. The chips were all in tiny bits, not a whole chip in sight. The potatoes were going black, and the chips were hard and chewy. Clearly the chips were not fresh and had been sitting there for a long while before being served. Appalling price for disgusting chips. Will never be coming here again. Haven't been here in a couple of years so thought to give it a go however they have lost a customer."

"service beautiful and friendly. the first drink came in a reasonable time. the second drinks took much longer. 15min. although fewer guests were present. when my wife ordered the ice card, she was not present. Instead, she was served the cake card. on request she was the ice card 30 min. later. since I had not received my drink, and the waiters who were only responsible for cleaning and we couldn't pay there, we paid and left after 15min. for a prestigious house on the square we had already wished for a better service, sometimes it had the look that most waiters had visited the hotelfachschule. Unfortunately we will probably take a distance in the future and look for a more hospitable restaurant."

"I was very hungry, so I walked into My House at Birmingham New Street Station waiting for a standard similar to Chipotle or Tortilla. Due to being very hungry and the cost of the chicken donkey is 6.99, I expected great portions and interesting options to put in my burrito. However, after my experience, please avoid eating here!I will start by saying that I entered and that no staff member was visible. A lady who waited for me about 2 minutes went out and was nice and inviting. So I thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt on the basis of her greeting.But, I wish I had gone, since I ended up with the most miserable burrito.The beans were a strange paste that she spread on the wrap and had no different volume or flavor. Think of the consistency of peanut butter.The chicken was papylla and looked like baby food.I wanted to stop the order at that time, but I didn't want to offend the girl who worked there, since I was clearly doing everything with little or no management support.The cheese they added comes in a small pot (a company clearly determined to reduce costs) and the hot sauce was a random sauce and was not homemade. There's no fresh tomato here! I wouldn't even like to think about the guacamole. . The salad options were a bit of unpleasant mixture, with lettuce, sweet corn and other random things that were not explained. It would be better if you could choose individual salad options. The Halepenos had an extra 50p. You would expect them to be free, according to the small, sad and heavy burrito I finished with.Despite a good customer service (she genuinely apologized for the long wait) she avoids this place at all costs. As for the standards, it's under Taco Bell and that's saying something!"

"Very odd... We booked a table for 6 of us at 7.30pm on a Friday. We were staying at the hotel, which was busy. There was noone else in the resturant the whole time. The rare steak was well done, bit was quickly corrected. The whole ordering by QR code seemed unnecessary as there were plenty of staff. The drinks came out wrong and when Iwntioned it I was told I'd ordered wrong. The barman came back later and corrected his mistake. It's a nice hotel with good facilities, just needs to pay attention to guests."
