"Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn 't even deserve this one star. From start to finish, zero star rating. Already when making the reservation on the phone, very unfriendly and brisk. But we still wanted to try. We made a reservation outside, but it started to rain so we had to sit inside. Because we made a special reservation, we were given a table in the farthest corner where it was so humid and warm, which also had lots of small dead fruit flies on it. We thought we would give it a try there too. For the starter we were given a lump of tartare, not nice to look at and tasteless. One main course came wrong at first, then only warmed up orecchiette with fresh truffle (nothing about it was fresh) and beef fillet cubes (very small, somewhat tough pieces of beef). The hidden pork fillet was neither hidden nor a real fillet (see picture). The only thing hidden was the meat in the fat. We barely touched the pork tenderloin because you really couldn 't eat it. When asked why we didn 't eat it, we said because it was hard to bite. There was no apology nor did they offer us a price. When paying, the only thing the waiter said was, sorry, it wasn 't like that today . Well, it 's a shame about that experience. Went to a restaurant nearby a few days later and it was wonderful!"

Nachtessen und Jazz geniessen mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung, genau vis a vis einer Jazz Bühne. Ideal zum Musik und Essen geniessen. Wir dürfen immer oben auf dem Balkon sitzen. Tolle Uebersicht über die Szene. Wunderbar freundliche Bedienung

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food on August 1st, 2022. When it came after 3 hours, it was cold. More food was forgotten and we left after 10:30 pm and were annoyed. Service staff was very helpful and totally overwhelmed (not enough staff)

Wir wohnen nicht ständig hier, sind aber regelmäßig in Ascona. Gerne probieren wir auch andere Restaurants an. Wir kehren aber oft reumütig zum Pontile zurück. Fabio, der auch lächeln kann, wenn nicht gerade das Jazz Festival vor seiner Tür spielt, erfüllt dem Gast alle Wünsche. Auch die übrige Truppe, an der Spitze Urgestein Elli, ist immer sehr freundlich.Die Gerichte entstammen der gehobenen Tessiner Küche, und das immer ohne Enttäuschungen. Das Risotto mit Gamberoni und die in Butter gebratenen Egli-Filets sind besonders zu empfehlen.

I came late, around 21:00, I had to ask the waiter for a table even he walked 3 Times in front of me and saw that I was at the door waiting. When I was at the table, without give me any menu he asked...what I wanted to drink, I asked for the menu he just gave for food and not for drinks, I had to ask again, he mentioned 2 times first that kitchen was closed and second that “as kitchen was closing soon...” honestly I should just have left at this point .
