"What a stunning find. Hidden beside the harbour so a couple of minutes off of the beaten track of the main street. Without being rude its a little tired on the outside but when the welcome is so warm and the food so good who the heck cares. I mention it only to say dont let appearances fool you. I am recently following a gluten free diet for health reasons and have been struggling with eating out. The menu here pretty much offered anything they possibly could as gluten free and also catering for other dietry requirements as well as 'normal ' diets. I had the most amazing potato and leek cake thingy in a cheese sauce with a pea shoot garnish. It was to die for. So tasty, so beautifully presented. My husband had Welsh lamb koftas washed down with a pint of local brewed IPA. Both meals were faultless and the lady serving was just so welcoming and friendly and so nice about my new diet issues. Dont just take my word for it..."

"we visited a party of 6 at 9.30 a.m. on a Saturday morning. the service was fast, but seemed to be more busy while we were there, so I would recommend going earlier instead of later. the vegan breakfast included: bean, half a grilled tomato, 2 hash brews, 1 kartoffel waffel, mushrooms, 1 roasted brot, small amount of vegan black pudding (which is not the best but good effort) and should have come with 2 sweet peppers, but unfortunately they were not on camp. we also received 2 additional slices toast with vegan butter, which I suspect was listed with the breakfast, but not on the menu. the amount of food was large, very filling and very tasty. updated by previous review on 2021-09-11"

"We visited as a family on holiday, looking for a good Sunday Lunch and found ourselves in this surprisingly big cafe/restaurant. It was busy yet the tables were nicely spaced out and the establishment was clean and tidy. We each ordered a roast dinner and some drinks, and we weren’t disappointed by size. There was plenty of food and I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of cauliflower cheese to the dish, which I haven’t had for quite some time and it was delicious. The one critique I had with the meal is that the beef was a bit dry, possibly over-cooked and just a bit hard to eat. But the rest of the meal I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I also had a glimpse of other tables’ food coming out and I must admit the burgers looked phenomenal. We will remember this as a good spot for lunch when we visit again in the future. I would definitely recommend."

"Service was first rate and the food was generally delicious. Everyone had to pre order and pre pay, so it was a really nice touch that the place cards not only had the names but also on the underside were the menu choices for each person. The Festive Menu food was well presented and generally, the food was tasty and adequate. It was nice, for instance, that the carrots were not over cooked and had plenty of flavour. One diner felt that the turkey was a bit lacking in flavour, but she is a Cordon Bleu. There also seemed to be an issue that the stuffing balls appeared to be something like pork stuffing, not the anticipated sage and onion, although the menu only said stuffing anyway. Those who had the gilt head bream felt that the portion size was a bit on the small side unlike ordering bream in Greece, where you get the whole fish! As ever, the chefs handled special dietary requirements with perfect attention to detail, with exclusions and substitutions accordingly. I'd certainly be glad to repeat and to recommend the venue and the Festive Menu. We have often eaten here and never been disappointed, usually just as a couple or small groups, so it was interesting to see how efficient the catering was for the 40 50 party size."
