"Schon die Anfahrt zum Gasthof lässt bei schönen Wetter einem das Herz aufgehen. Eine große überdachte oder mit Sonnenschirmen versehene Terrasse, oder der große Speiseraum, man findet Platz. Die Essenportionen waren reichhaltig und geschmackvoll. Auf der Speisekarte müsste eigentlich jeder etwas finden. Wir waren 10 Personen und waren alle zufrieden.Wenn man rechtzeitig ankommt, kann man vorab oder später die in der Nähe liegende Sommerrodelbahn benutzen.Auf jeden Fall eine Einkehr wert!!"

Erneut in Berchtesgaden, erneut ein Besuch beim Hochlenzer. Wie immer leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen und mit sehr guter Qualität! Service wie immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Ein Traum was Essen, Trinken, die Ausicht und die Bedienung ausmachen. Einen Besuch sollte man unbedingt einplanen. Absolut unverkrampfte Atmosphäre. Dazu der Traumblick. Preise angemessen, Bedienung zügig und absolut überragend freundlich.

Our hotel receptionist recommended this place over a much more touristy destination we had found online. We absolutely loved it! The views are incredible- even if you just go for a drive or for a beer, you must stop by. There is also a summer toboggan run in the warmer months that is great for kids and adults.

Absolute Top Lage am Obersalzberg oberhalb von Berchtesgaden/Schönau. Wirklich sehr schön gelegen, fernab von Trubel und Lärm. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen zum Obersalzberg, Jenner, Königsee....Gutbürgerliche Küche zum angemessen Preis. Zimmerblick auf den Watzmann, was will man mehr. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gemütlicher rustikaler Gasthof mit gigantischer Aussicht, total leckerem Essen mit grossen!! Portionen und einem sehr aufmerksamen und lustig/freundlichem Service. Weiterempfehlungsrate von uns 110%PS: 1 Minipunkt Abzug gibts leider.Das "Grillwürschtel" gehört auf den Grill und nicht in die Friteuse/ schwimmendes Fett. (aber das scheint in der Region ((und nicht nur dort)) Gang und Gebe zu sein.)Wir kommen trotzdem wieder!!!!!!

"We went there on Sunday morning and were looking to get a cappuccino and a pastry and we were not disapointed. They had an English menu and our waitress spoke English. We went inside the pastry shop and selected our pastry of choice. There selection was huge which made selecting even harder. Everyone was totally happy with their selection so much so that we bought 6 pastries to go to enjoy later. By the way the pastries are really large and a meal in themselves. Sitting outside in the town square, pastry and cappuccino was great"

"Beautiful small restaurant in Berchtesgaden. There was one server who spoke English, and he was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was inexpensive and delicious; I had chicken curry, and my husband and son had noodles with bolognese sauce. The noodles were homemade, the food was nicely plated, and the portions were generous. There was a nice patio to eat on, and before we left, our English-speaking server offered us a complimentary serving of schnapps. Best place we've eaten in Berchtesgaden!"

"The inn was one of our goals after we drove Schönau with the support of the RK app in search of further rewarding goals for our week. Following an inspiration, we reserved a table by phone in the afternoon, which proved to be useful as all tables were occupied when we arrived. Cosyly furnished, but atmospheric rather reminiscent of a hall, since the entire hall was hardly divided by partitions or decoration. A very nice, friendly service power, which was constantly on the axle, since it had to operate all tables alone (supported by the boss, but nevertheless: great performance! . So it is also to forgive that I had to explicitly ask for the pumpkin soup, which was praised outside on a table and was not pointed out. It might also be that the menu on the inside, from which there was something left out. On the other hand, I would have been very annoyed if the selection of the place was based on the choice of “ chicken breast, grilled with fresh mushrooms, christian sauce and roasted ink”, and then I got inside, outside in the box, this is the “summer card” and some dishes are no longer available. Well, I had decided otherwise: First the pumpkin soup (3,20 € ), then the “peffer pandl, pork medallions with pepper sauce and cheese congratulates broccoli and croquets” for 15,80 €. “ Pute “Bombay” with pineapple, curry sauce and cheese baked, with rice and salad” (12.80 € was my wife’s choice. The pumpkin soup was ok, maybe even a little too much in quantity, and from the consistency I would have liked it a little firmer, because it was very “liquid”. My pepper puff around a pleasure, lots of sauce as you can see, but just right and nothing left. The Pute Bombay with rice as on the photo in Sauce almost drinking and barely visible, but better soooo, than just a Kleks sauce, which finally leaves the remaining rice dry on the plate. Taste one of the best food this week! Conclusion: also here a recommendation to try out! Only, as already had, Gasthof Bodner also closes at the beginning of November for about 6 weeks."

"The pizzas were very delicious, the salad was fine and the ambience was very pleasant, with a view of the mountains. The only criticism is that you have to plan a lot of time. As far as we have seen, only three waiters were divided, who had visibly rushed, but the crowd had not grown to guests."

"We stumbled across the Acropolis when looking for somewhere to get dinner. It looked good and we’d recently been to Santorini in Greece so we ventured in. As you we hadn’t booked we didn’t get one of the tables with a view – we were sat inside with no view. However, the food more than made up for this! We shared garlic bread as a starter (which was a very generous portion. They then brought us a portion of complimentary salad each which was really good. This was followed by our mains. I had the zaziki gyros while my husband had the metaxa gyros. Both were amazing but note that the metaxa gyros are a very filling/heavy/cheesy meal. The food quality was amazing and the service was also really really good! We were also given a complimentary shot of oozo with our bill. I would also highly recommend the Aperol spritz. I would say that booking a table is ideal as then you can get a nice table with a view. But personally, I thought it was so good that I’d happily go back and eat there at a table without a view."
