"My wife, daughter 2 grandkids we're on a trip to London and rang to book after seeing the very favourable reviews. We wanted to book a table for 5 people at 7.30 but we asked to make it 7.15. No problem. we duly arrived at 7.15 but were told our table would not be ready for 10 mins. Again no real problem except it was in fact 20 minutes. Was a bit surprised that no apology was forthcoming but surely they would ensure we were looked after. We were given menus and asked if we wanted water and we said yes tap water would be fine. Two bottles of mineral water were provided but again no real problem. But that was the last we saw of anyone for a further 15 minutes when I managed to get the attention of the waiter to take our order. We ordered a bottle of wine and some soft drinks but said we'd like to order the food now as well. We got as far as the starter but we told that the items we chose used pizza base and they had none. Does that also mean that you have no pizzas? I asked. No sorry was the reply. Since pizza was explicitly what the kids wanted and we had been there some considerable time, were not told when we were given the menus that there was no pizza based items and that we were not made to feel welcome, we left feely very disappointed and hungry."

We returned for a second visit because we loved this restaurant so much. We hadn’t booked and although was quite full they accommodated 6 of us in a Friday evening. Delicious food including specials. Would definitely recommend. We will be back

We visited here on a very wet Saturday lunchtime. The service was slick but not rushed, very friendly, chatty waitress. One downside The pizza's are cooked individually as we had ordered 3, one of our party had to wait, but the wait was worth it.

We were staying in Battersea and we love going to local Independent restaurants. Good reviews on Trip-advisor and we booked a table. Friendly waitress who provided a wonderful service. Food was homemade, delicious and presented well. Good selection of wines and at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Came in at 9pm on a sunday, couldn't have been welcomed more warmly by the two fantastic waiters who were clearly very busy, they looked after us really well, recommending their favourites from the menu. We had blue cheese gnocchi and the lobster and crab tortelloni, both were exceptional. At 9pm on a sunday we weren't expecting 5 star food and treatment but we got it. We met the chef martina afterwards who told us she was normally a waitress. We couldn't believe she had stepped up as a chef on a sunday night and put out food like she did, she took real pride in her food, she and the two guys FOH made us feel right at home. We'll be back for the wild boar next time!

One of my favourite local restaurants and have just had a miserable experience there. I appreciate the dilemma a small restaurant on a Friday night and you need business. You take not one but two bookings for 2 all female parties of 9 and 10 one following closely on the other. The noise level was unbearable. The kitchen was out of control and we waited 40 minutes for our mains. No apology. No idea what to do. I asked where the food was the waiter could hardly hear me over the din. The veal came and was generous and delicious. The food has always been delicious at this restaurant. They did at least bring us a glass of wine on the house after I complained loudly over the din. We found this absolute gem of a restaurant by accident, just searching for Italian food in the area. The reviews were good so we walked down to try it. What a fabulous experience! The staff was attentive and gave us recommendations for the wine. The restaurant is small but has such a homey feel. And of course, there are not enough good things to say about the food. We had the truffle buratta, which was a special, to start and it was amazing. We ordered pastas gnocchi, pappardelle, and tagliatelle, which were all made fresh and simply delicious. The pappardelle with sausage and mushroom was incredible. My daughter had the gnocchi, which were light, fluffy, and delicious. Miki was the perfect...
