"Best Japanese restaurant in London. I 've been going here for 3 years and the food is sublime without fail every time. Yes, the decor 's unique but you get used to it very quickly and it 's part of its charm for me. The main thing is that you won 't find better value for money in a Japanese restaurant in London. You 'll also find dishes here that I haven 't come across anywhere else. But most of all, the produce is absolutely top notch and very fresh I 'm not generally a big fan of sashimi as it usually tastes bland, but it 's truly stunning at this place, enough to make me a convert (but only when I dine here). The maguro nuta is perfect and as for the fish cakes well, you 'll just have to try them yourself. And the sushi is fantastic too, with wasabi in the maki rolls, just how it should be. Even the house wine is great (though the Muscadet 's the one to go for), the people there are really friendly it 's faultless as far as I 'm concerned. Also good to see a lot of Japanese people eating here; it may be a cliche but it 's always a good indicator of the restaurant being authentic and of a high standard. With Bento down the road having gone downhill markedly over the last few months (don 't mention the fatty sushi), this really is the only one to bother with in this part of town. 10/10"

Zomato hordes, please cast your hungry gaze elsewhere. Don't come to Asakusa, it's hard enough for us regulars to get a table as it is! Move along now, nothing to see here.

Gem of a place. Very homecooked style Japanese food. Not crazy about the sushi here but the cooked food really hits the spot. Very good value for money and the service was pleasant and cheerful when I went. Top marks!

good Japanese eating place very small and crowded. make sure they come early or book. the following dishes were good: gyoza; tofu with ice; sweetheart; cadjau slightly missed: aubergine sauce was too salty sushi rollreis a bit soft and muddy

asakusa is by far the most authentic Japanese restaurant in which I was. the restaurant has little space, but it is always best to make a reservation. Moreover, the sushi is always made fresh when they order it, so the sushi man is very busy and the waiting time for sushi is long. in my opinion it is worth it because eating is really very good and the environment is cozy and they feel as if they were not actually in the united kingdom, but in japan.

8/10 The Authentic Japanese with reasonable price in London!!. I has been passing the restaurant by bus all the time for 8years. Finally I went Asakusa with my friend last night (thursday evening) for first time. Asakusa has been running by Japanese family for 20+years. The chefs and staffs are Japanese. Please make sure to reserve a table before hand! It's very very popular restaurant!! We ordered several differet dishes including sashimi, salad, two typle of maki(rolls) sushi etc... Overall ,The food was tasty and Authentic . (Btw,Both of us are Japanese) The price of food is not too bad for what it is. Around £17-£20 per head for food. Very reasonable !!! Sake is quite expensive, Bottle of...
