Tasty foie gras/duck breast/salmon salad. Delicious veal cutlets. Excellent wine and service. Quaint and typical restaurant.

Worth a detour to the small town of Roppenheim. Service is friendly and food was consistently excellent (steak cooked to perfection and great starters of escargots and frog legs). Come early because tables go quickly!

We had a great dinner here. It was extremely busy (on a Thursday night but still the owners had a smile on their face and the food was excellent. Offerings are typical for the region (frog legs, foie gras and lots of meat dishes).

Food is superb and very dependable! service friendly, good and reasonably priced wine list. typical local specilities, including frogs' legs or foie gras are the best! the owners marc and jacqueline do an outstanding job!!! this is the place that dreams are made off!

Not surprising that Marc and Jacqueline, the charming and hands-on owners are not taking reservations. first come, first serve with drinks at the bar whilst you wait for one of the cosy tables to become available. so popular, decent value for money and always packed....alsatian and french specialities beautifully presented and served with great dedication by the staff. great, value for money winelist too!!!

The Alsatian restaurant is charming, roomy and cozy. It was crowded when we arrived around 5:30pm for dinner. We tried to make reservation but the restaurant did not accept it. It is first come first serve. So come early if you don’t want to wait in line. The food is good, specially the steak tartare where the chef prepared it right at your table. The escargots were delicious. The frog legs were good but not the best. The soup was a little bit salty that we could not finish. The portion of each dish was generous and plentiful to share.

The food that we could see others eating looked delicious, the place was full and we had to wait about mins for table . The owner told us it...would be about that time for a table to become available and explained the specials to us in English. We both enjoyed goats cheese salad to start, it was Enormous and we should have shared. Mains , poached salmon and pepper steak with boiled potatoes and vegetables, again all beautifully cooked and presented.
