"TERRIBLE SERVICE! Don´t go here if you don´t want to ruin your night. We had our Christmas dinner from work at Benko, and at least half of the coworkers came out of the place with complains. The waiter, which I heard is the owner of the place, acted really rude and unprofessionally, constantly doing inappropriate jokes. My personal experience was that I order the vegetarian dish, since I´m allergic to shrimps (badly I could die if I eat one) and when the entrance dish arrived at the table they mixed the vegetarian and the meat products, which also had shrimps in it. I told the waiter that I´m allergic to them, and I really had to take a deep breath to not react to what the waiter did next. First he tap me strong on the back, and said that I should just eat it! When I refused because I could literally die, he picked up with my fork a big peace of cheese from the dish and throw it to another coworker and said then you eat it . I told him again I couldn´t eat it, and he said...yeah yeah I have 3 daughters I know how it is. I had to wait another 10min until they could bring me some vegetables which I could actually eat. The food came at different times, and he said that we should start eating, and if there is any complains he will throw us from the restaurant. NOT FUNNY AND NOT NICE. I give this place 1 star because I can´t give it none."

Das Benko ist einfach super: Essen schmeckt hervorragend, es gibt wechselnde Gerichte die auch nach Wunsch individuell angepasst werden und der Besitzer ist gut gelaunt und nett!

very intimate place, without a set menu. There are 3 or 4 options that the waiter tells you when you are there. Paired nicely with wine. The waiter is very nice, and comes constantly to check on you.

this is one of the best hidden secrets in munich! small, intimate and super friendly staff. benko offers a daily changing menu with fresh ingredients. usually you'll have the choice of two starters, three main dishes and a desert.

Das ist selbst für München zu viel!Zwei Stunden Wartezeit auf's Essen. Der Kellner/Chef zelebriert sich divenhaft selbst. Für das Essen gibt es die zwei Punkte. Und für einen Espresso während der Wartezeit. Findet man alles auch woanders. Nie wieder!

I just love the place. The owner is the highlight of the place, such a warm and friendly person from France. Very chilled and homy, cozy atmosphere, delicious food for a good, reasonable price. Very tasty white wine as well, perfect for a dinner date or a dinner with friends.
