"Due to excellent experiences at this restaurant previously, yesterday evening we took our family to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. Across three courses it was pure heaven! Our party was made up of those who regularly eat at higher end restaurants as well as farmers who love a good feed, and everyone was happy! The staff who looked after us were fantastic as always, attentive, conscientious and personable. Many thanks as always to the team"

"One of the most glorious pubs in Christendom. Wonderful view, delightful staff and one of the best pasties I've ever had. Shame the inside was mostly closed off for COVID-19, but at least I got a taster when nipping to the loo. Will be back for the full Seven Stones experience when the world returns to normal. "Upon arriving, we waited at the counter whilst several members of staff went about their business without even acknowledging that we were standing there… after a few minutes, one of the girls looked our way and proceeded to show us to a table. We ordered our drinks and then waited to order the meal. We’ve been to this restaurants many times over the years so knowing that the portions are large, we ordered 2 12 lagers, a chicken tikka jalfrezi to share, 1 rice, chips, a plain naan and 2 popadoms. I can honestly say, I don’t think I’ve ever tasted such a bland, tasteless curry, even the chicken (supposedly chicken tikka) was bland. Jalfrezi is described on the menu as hot but it had no spice whatsoever, it was creamy and flavourless. It was more like a creamy masala. At no point during the meal did anyone come over to ask if our food was ok, it was like you’ve had what you’re getting, get on with it! My husband doesn’t mind a creamy curry but I don’t so I ended up with a plate of rice and poppadoms. No one bothered to come over to check on us at all, even when we went to the counter to pay, nobody asked how the meal was, they just wanted to be paid the £38.50. We won’t be visiting them again!!"

"Always come here for lunch when visiting Truro, as usually such a lovely atmosphere, very efficient staff and excellent food. Was a little disappointed this time however. I waited by the entrance to the restaurant, as instructed, however was ignored by the staff for over 5 mins before being welcomed. I do appreciate that the staff were busy, however, one of the staff was preparing drinks at the bar and didn't even acknowledge us by saying, someone will be with you in a moment. This is surely common practice and helps to appease you when having to wait. We were eventually seated and placed our drinks orders. During that time two other tables arrived and they were actually served before us for their drinks and food! The food was ok but not up to their usual high standard. Prices aren't cheap but you don't mind if the quality of the food is good and the service effficient. Almost felt as if they don't really care anymore! Will be trying somewhere else in the future."

"we were a night in a double room deluxe room it was fabulous. the room was beautifully decorated, immaculately filled with beautiful care products, although we arrived late, the personal sorted out eat for us (extremely tasty house made pizza) fabulous apfelsine. they even sorted a sandwich to the breakfast for my partner who wanted to miss out on the timings. the next morning had a great night sleep a huge boiled breakfast, although there were masses of others I would have ordered. the food came fast, even if the kitchen was busy, it was very delicious. so satisfied we found this place, tight were very friendly nothing was too much effort to sort for them. we will definitely be back only if we could stay longer"
