Bistro 23 - Menu

I tried Craster kippers for the first time for lunch and they were absolutely delicious. We also went for dinner one evening and the food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic.

Probably the nicest fish dish I’ve ever eaten. Wife was thoroughly impressed with the veggie main. 2 desserts were also first class. Great service, lovely atmosphere, on its way to Michelin star.

We had such a fab meal here. Really friendly place. Superb local fish and importantly I think) lots of good vegetables. It's a really cosy restaurant in the heart of a beautiful community, we were made to feel so welcome.

What an amazing place. We had the pate and soup to start and the hake and swordfish (specials) for mains, followed by sharing the cheeseboard platter. This place has a lovely ambience and the hosts really know how to make their guests feel welcome. The food was delicious would thoroughly recommend.

Another 3 gorgeous meals while our 2 week break in Amble. Anna, Husband and staff make everyone feel so welcome. Nothing is to much trouble. We often visit Alnmouth and always make sure to have a few evening meals at Bistro 23. It never fails to impress. The service is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Thank you once again, Bistro 23, for enhancing our experience in Alnmouth. (The pictures also look amazing!)

Another great meal at Bistro 23! We try and visit Alnmouth once or twice a year and always make sure we book in advance for this gem. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel so welcome and the atmosphere in the restaurant is always brilliant. The food is consistently good, and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you!

Excellent food, all staff lovely very helpful. A small restaurant with great ambience. We were so glad that we booked to eat here. A small menu to choose from, but all dishes were lovely, well presented plentiful. We ate here on 2 nights being lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation. Everyone dining at the same time as we were there appeared to be enjoying their meal experience. I would thoroughly recommend Bistro 23.

Lovely medium size cafe, very clean and inviting with good space around the tables. Modern decor and furniture but with plenty of old world features like the beamed ceiling and stone fireplace. Warm welcome from the staff and food served in a timely manner but it was early in the service and quiet at the time. Coffees were very good and hot, the mince pies were home made and warmed before being served which really brought out the flavour of the fruit filling. The food menu looked interesting and would definitely return on another visit to Alnmouth.
