Bistro des Lices - Piatti

I love Le Bistro - perfectly situated on le Place des Lices, fantastic ambience, lovely friendly staff, amazing food and great live music later on. We always have a good time there.

Located in a square about 400 yds from the harbour, it is quite peaceful, except for the light traffic nearby. Service rapid, food good and very reasonable. We had the impression that someone could cook properly. Would return

Unimpressive food from the French equivalent of Iceland (Picard) nothing is freshly cooked. Lack of seasoning. The bruschetta tasted like cheap nasty pizza. Nice resto and service but need to spend money on ingredients rather than laundry, and a decent chef is needed. Visualizza piatti

We chose to miss the harbour-side restaurants and chose this bistro just off the market square. My wife had seafood risotto and I had moules and chips, great chips, washed down with cold beers and rose. It suited us perfectly, the service was good and prices are what they are in Saint Tropez but we were well satisfied.

We have taken our children here three times now every time we visit St T, aged 3,4 and now 11. The location is great as set round the village square and away from the high tourist/pricey harbour side. The food is a good standard as is the wine, for us pigeon French speaking people they offer an English worded menu. The only negative comment would be service was sigh fly slow although this extended are visit which was nice. Would return for a 4th visit

The host was very welcoming and fixed a very nice table for us 3 plus a stroller. Perfect introduction really!!Menus were given right away and drinks were offered. No kids menu for diner... And nothing under 25€! Not really kids friendly!Burgers were tasteless made of cheap ingredients, tuna tataki was tasteless and the beef filet with pepper sauce a rip off!The bread tasted like old chemical... Go to the market square in St Tropez in the afternoon - there is a row of busy outdoor restaurants there, and number 3 from theleft is "Bistro". - My wife and I just sat down there - why not?We did not regret afterwards. Service was quick, although the place was at least three quartes full, the menue was simple - good choices - and within 15 minutes we had our meal going. High rate food, cooked to our intentions, wine absolutely well matched, and the bill was pleasant.We have been there four times since.If you think you have gone wrong here, you have gone to the wrong place.

There are, as you can imagine, lots of choices of restaurants around the Place de Lices. We checked out quite a few and most didn't appeal to my son, who, although he has a relatively adult palate, just didn't find much to his liking. Well, the Bistro did. We ate from the set menu. After small, beautiful broiche buns filled with shrimp and tomatoes - I had the delicious burrata with fresh tomato and pesto- my son had curried pork tenderloin (more like pork belly) and my husband and I had the fish with crispy slices of chorizo and a sauce of cauliflower and tomato/chorizo. Sublime. Despite desperately wanting my son to choose the caramel and walnut tart so I could share it, he chose the grape...

My husband and I chose to dine here because it seemed nice and relaxing and had a menu that was varied enough to fit our tastes. Unbeknownst to us...it was rip off central. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin which was fine for ($45). I pointed to the "plat du jour" option (which is listed under the dinner menu and not the lunch menu) and asked the waitress what it was. She informed me that it was a fish called "St. Pierre", a lovely white fish. So I ordered what I thought was the "plat du jour."The restaurant was only half full when we sat down and ordered.
