A few miles out of Whitby just off main Teesside road. Well worth the trip. Extensive and varied specials menu to add to a good normal menu. Very busy on the night we visited. Food good, service too. Reasonable prices.

This pub is my favorite in the entire country. We originally just stopped in to say hello and have a pint of OP, but Mark tempted us with the Sunday carvery. The food was fabulous, the beer was the tastiest, and the staff were the best. Visualizza piatti

Arrived unexpectedly after being in the Yorkshire Moors until late taking photographs, they were full but we were asked to wait, when a table was available it was cleaned and made ready for us. The meal was well cooked and substantial. We were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely return.

Awful food. Over-cooked pork medallions and an undercooked and stodgy ‘pastry’ steak pie (usually can’t go wrong with that pub grub option). Another customer complained about her steak pie and the waitress just walked away. Landlord didn’t ask me how my food was when I left and just took the money. Shocking.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, with generous portions that were cooked perfectly. I couldn't find any faults with it. The two young men serving us were polite, efficient, and attentive. I'm glad we ventured out of Whitby to savor some traditional homemade dishes. Visualizza piatti

A great carvery that gives you enough food not to feel hungry for hours. The staff were all friendly and helpful, there was a great atmosphere and it seemed very popular with the locals, which I always take as a good sign. They recommended booking and I can see why as it was very popular. If we are back in the area, we will definitely be going again.

Booked for Sunday lunch and sat under cover in the beer garden with our young dog. Sunday lunch is a carvery serving, on this occasion beef and pork together with Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes and three veg, all of which were tasty and well cooked….I found the beef was to die for and I was told the pork was as well, we were offered “ pudding” but there was absolutely no way we could have eaten anything more as the portions were so large. Altogether a great meal and excellent value!

We visited this restaurant twice during our holiday and were very impressed with the great food at reasonable prices. There was plenty of choice on the menu and specials board. The service was quick and friendly. The first time, I tried the curry from the specials board which came with half chips and half rice, both portions were generous and there was plenty of curry. My friend ordered the chicken parmesan with chips, which was a very large portion and delicious. The second time, I had the chicken and chorizo pie with potatoes and vegetables, it was full of large chunks of chicken and very tasty.
