Blaue Ente - Menu

Had a group dinner at Blaue Ente tonight. We took their private dining room in this very nice converted pump station. The menu was simple but very tasty. Wine was excellent and service despite being 13 was good.

this restaurant id at one of the most beautiful places in zürich in the quiet interior of a former factory building. the vegan selection is very nice and all courses are covered, but this is definitiw no cheaper place updated by previous review on 2022-03-11

I love this restaurant, the service and the food were always impeccable. I have organized a team dinner here and again, it was faultless, in fact, my team are now all the big fans of this restaurant. I even bring my family here when they visit cannot praise the Blue Duck (Blue Duck) enough.

What a wonderful find. Loved the location, the ambiance, the service, and most definitely the food. We tried a number of dishes and the only one I would shy away from is the Kalbswienerschnitzel. At 51 CHF, it didn’t live up to my expectation. Not withstanding, we’ll return and can certainly recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Wonderful food and service on this return visit after several years with friends from California. We had a variety of dishes, and were all good. One friend ordered a Viener schnitzel which scarily big, but was allowed to takeaway half! I had an unusual pork belly dish, but the downside was that the skin was not crispy. Another friend chose from the games menu.

We were there on Wednesday night in August 2021. The location is really nice and close to Lake Zurich. Although I have to say there is no lake view, we already knew. Food was delicious and not too expensive for a cozy restaurant in the city. All ingredients seem too local based on the description at the end of the menu, which is a great plus I think! The staff was super nice and professional, they pay attention to details, but were never inappropriate. There is also a parking lot near the entrance, which is also really appreciated in Zurich. Of course, the parking is not free. I would definitely recommend this place and visit it again soon!

The location is very nice. I ate roastbeef as a main course and it was very delicious. The waiter was very professional, thanks a lot for the good service. The dessert was very poor it should be a tiramisu but it was only a few hard biscuit, some berry and a lot of whip cream for CHF 14. !? Especially on that evening was another guest who pressed and offended my partner and me. Of course that’s not the fault of the restaurant, but the boss of the restaurant didn‘t do anything because of it. I felt very uncomfortable! only the waiter tried to defuse the situation. I've often been for lunch and dinner at the Blue Duck and the experience was always positive, but the last lunch was not so great. Atmosphere and service was very good, but the choice of food was very moderate. A lot of strange dishes. I ordered the keviche and the Risotto. I guess the quality of the ingredients was good, but both dishes had practically no taste and I had to add a lot of pepper and salt.... Maybe it's just my taste, but my business partners had quite the same experience. Stay away if you have any food restrictions!! When we booked the table, we informed that I needed gluten-free food because I have celiac disease. Arrived, I communicated the fact very clearly to the gluten-free options. The waiter elencate her in Swiss German when I already asked if he could speak English without showing her on the menu.
