"Schöne Hotel Anlage. Leider nicht überall das Flair vom Schloss zu spüren. Das Restaurant wunderschön gestaltet, gehobenes Ambiente, bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten. Ein Traum. Glück, wenn man da einen Tisch erwischt. Der angrenzende Wintergarten hat weniger Flair, etwas ungemütlicher, je nach Jahreszeit durch offene Tür kühl. Man hat etwas das Gefühl 1. Und 2. Klasse im Zug. Die Terasse am Restaurant bei warmen Sommerwetter ein idyllischer Ort. Das Essen, egal was man isst, ein kulinarisches Gedicht. Sehr gute Küche, absolut zu empfehlen. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich und richtig gut. Der Service im Restaurant klasse, immer freundlich, kann bei Allergikern gut beraten zu den Gerichten. Ein großes Lob an das Team. Ebenso sehr nette Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, die beim Empfang alles gut erklären. Unser Zimmer war im Spa Haus, Erdgeschoss. Leider kein Flair vom Schloss zu spüren. Die Fenster zum Eingangsbereich hin, so daß jeder automatisch rein schaut, wenn man nicht das Lamellen Rollo runter lässt. lässt man es runter ist es dunkel und ungemütlich und man fühlt sich eingeengt. Schade. Badezimmer Fenster zum Sauna Durchgang hin, da blieb nur Rollo unten lassen. Was wir echt ungünstig fanden, war das es in dem Doppelzimmer nur einen Sessel gab. Eine zweite Sitzgelegenheiten war ein harter Holzstuhl am Schreibtisch. Wollte man gemütlich beieinander sitzen war das nur auf dem Bett sitzend möglich. In einem Sterne Hotel hätte ich mir 2 gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten gewünscht. Vom Flur gelangte man auf eine tolle Terrasse mit bequemen Liegen. Freudig nahmen wir Platz. Das Glück war nur von kurzer Dauer. Nach 10 min mussten wir den Bereich verlassen, das sei Spa, nur im Bademantel, für Sauna Gäste erlaubt. Nirgends Hinweise dazu, weder in Gästemappe noch an der Terrassentür, das dies in normaler Kleidung nicht erlaubt ist. Enttäuschend, das es keine ähnlichen Erholungsbereiche für Gäste ohne Sauna Ambitionen gibt. Wohin dann im Hotel, wenn man nicht in den Gastronomie Bereich möchte. Im Flur im Sessel sitzen (da läuft ständig jemand vorbei. Vor der Haustür auf der Bank neben dem Aschenbecher (wenig gemütlich). Dennoch gibt es einen gemütlichen Fleck, eine wunderbare Ruhe Oase, die urige Bibliothek im Schloss. Herrliches Ambiente mir gemütlichen Ledersesseln und vielen interessanten Büchern. Mein Lieblingsort in diesem Hotel. Zum Schloss gehört laut Hotelplan ein großer Park mit Villa. Dieser war jedoch nicht zugänglich, durch ein großes Tor versperrt. Sicher ein Hotel was für Tagungen, Hochzeiten, Events und für Sauna Fans sehr empfehlenswert ist, ansonsten kommt es wahrscheinlich drauf an, was man für ein Zimmer und in welchem Gebäude man zugeteilt bekommt. Was positiv ist, das es auch wenn Feiern sind, in den Zimmern angenehm ruhig ist. Von der Lage her gut, das man viele Ausflugsziele und den Rhein schnell erreicht."

"Nice reception and 7 days open. Very clean and consistently implement the current Corona measures. All newly renovated in the Corona-Lockdown and enough dishes for small and large. Whether hearty or sweet, cold or warm, small meals or larger dishes are available. Drink selection is also great. After a hike nearby or around the Laacher Lake, it is recommended to return to this large log cabin and it can then go again!"

"The visit was under a bad star! : There was a stormy thunderstorm with heavy rain and since you can't drive to the house, three of the four guests came to the underpants there. There was also a power failure. The carvings made the impression as if they were from the freezer and so they tasted. At the burger the bread was roasted to black!"

"We'll be happy to leave on November 1st. Holiday in two ways and a weekend extended. Breakfast was back a long time. On the way to the A61 there was still a birthday photo of my husband and the automark. The appetite wasn't past us, so bad it wasn't. A short time later we were up Maria Laach. If there's lunch, now! It was 13:30. The lake hotel just arrived. This is very nicely located directly at the Laacher Lake and the monastery with its great gardening (tolles video s. [here link] . Entrance area At our arrival the restaurant was just closed for new guests. When we told the friendly receptionist that we still wish a little lunch and not coffee and cake, we were nicely still woken through. The facility is well maintained and clean. But here's probably been around. Not much happened at the beginning of the 90s. Somehow, I've never liked this style, but it's a matter of taste. carpet in the restaurant, yes. Maybe good for the acoustics? The tables perfectly covered with strengthened table cloths, napkins and flowers. In service only well-trained men of experienced age, with name tag and formal service clothing. Rarely we experienced such an experienced and well-trained men's league in the restaurant. Routinized and kindly greeted us, delivered the open menu, offered an aperitif. As we had to drive a bit, we stayed at this lunch at 1 bottle of Rhodius mineral water, 0.75 l € 5,90. This time without an appetizer. In the evening there was a detailed menu on the program. There were two kinds of bread and salt butter. The dark bread tasted very good and was juicy. But the baguette just before Zwieback. I opted for: Hirschragoût in red wine and juniper sworn in bacon cabbage (exchanged in red cabbage and melted potato clot € 25.50. My husband chose: Fried fillets from the Eifel trout on lemons tomato butter and roasted onion potato puree, with colorful vegetables relocated € 25.50. It took a little longer (maybe the kitchen crew had lunchtime, the other guests were already ready with food, then our dishes were served on well preheated plates. The big shot of the stag-ragout is deceived. The court was quite clear. Hirschragout The deer meat is unfortunately kernelly hard and unfortunately also somewhat cooled. That didn't save the warm plates. The sauce is very good and classically seasoned. For the sauce, I would have liked the option “Additional Cage” (as recently described by Lavandula from Erfurt. The paddock was nicely loose and good, but unfortunately also small. The red herb was ok, but I don't give it because of its too soft consistency. In principle, I only freshen red herbs. My husband had made the better choice. 2 slightly grounded and golden yellow fried trout fillets, dressed on the puree. Fried fillets from the Eifel trout The vegetables still bite. There's also a light herbal sock. That was harmonious and good. While eating unfortunately not the question whether everything is good. We had to draw attention to numbers several times. And only then came the question of our satisfaction. I was just “pushing the nose”. But my husband noticed that the deer was very hard. Answer: “It was an old deer then.” This answer was probably meant to be fun, but it wasn't the same as the otherwise so sovereign type of servicemen. We were kindly adopted. When leaving the restaurant, we were allowed to take a look at the cakes and cake counters that have now been filled well. Our stopover was ok, but not anymore. Some weaknesses, however, in particular the price/performance ratio are very cloudy."

"If you come from Cologne to A 61, and you are on the way for a 3/4 hour, there is a departure for Maria Laach. At the end of the descent, turn left along a winding road and finally drive to the large car park, which is intended for both visitors of the abbey, the Laacher Lake and the Seehotel Maria Laach. Perhaps you should first take a tour through the quiet, beautifully landscaped abbey and then a tour around the lake at least halfway before giving yourself to the pleasures of the sea hotel. You can reach the restaurant via a generously designed forecourt. The left hand is the very long front with windows that extend to the floor. Inside you can enjoy beautiful covered tables with white linen to take a place. Immediately a polite and accommodating waiter is against you who corrects the chair, sets the card before you and otherwise harasses you. The map is a poem by Forelle Müllerin in almond crust (always fresh as the ponds are nearby), zander, calf and beef fillet, optionally with homemade croquettes or potato biscuits and fresh vegetables after the season. The wine card fine tuned, the dessert excellent. Who now thinks God is too high for me, not at all. I went there more often with my clique after boating on the lake, slightly sweated and a little cuddly the operation looks over them. Unfortunately, I haven't used the hotel myself yet. However, the overall impression is more than inviting. For a fun weekend highly recommended, quiet, enjoyment and pure relaxation."
