Party of five, in this restaurant difficult to communicate for noise level. Food good and much, possibly too much. Personnel attentive and very friendly.

Typical German place wirh original and good selection of food. Angus very good. Salmon very good. A little bit too spicy the bratwurstel. But this is one of the best restaurant in Kassel

Here you get very good original self prepared food in huge portions with an excellent glass of beer and this all for an reasonable price. People are friendly. When the weather is good, take a garden table and enjoy life.

A must whenever I am in Kassel. It is great to be here with the family. The welcome, the atmosphere, the love, the laughter, the service, the good feeling that this place evokes...just wonderful. Everyone feels at home here.

We got here early on a Friday and managed to find a table no problem but there were a lot of reserved tables. I ordered the ham hock and my husband, the chicken wings. The meals that arrived were enormous, we barely managed to finish them, then struggled walking back to the hotel, as we'd eaten so much! I'd rather feel like that though, than leave and still be hungry.

I visited this place based on the recent reviews which were very accurate. The patio was full so I opted for a seat at the bar. The house beer, Hut, was excellent. The bartender spoke English and was very attentive despite being very busy. I opted for a snitchzel with mushrooms, veggies and hollandaise sauce. The portion was huge! I would recommend sharing (see photo). The prices were reasonable. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Party of five ate there after a long day of walking around Kassel and sightseeing up at the Hercules monument (400 steps!). The local beer was great and the portions so large I couldn't finish mine! Customer service was attentive and we got our meals in a timely manner. As we finished it looked like a tour came in so it seems fairly popular and a decent value. The menu was only in German but friends we were traveling with were able to translate. Most folks in popular tourist areas speak enough English to be able to help out though. Highly recommended.

I need to write this review because I just had the best pork knuckle ever in Germany at Zum Rammelsberg. We 7 people spent 21.5 euros each on 7 dishes including pork knuckles,ribs, chicken wings and sausages as well as drinks. The portion is huge and we couldn't finish all. The pork knuckles were super delicious and crispy. The washroom was very clean. The service was nice too. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Kassel and looking for some genuine surprisingly great local German food especially PORK KNUCKLES !!! Totally reasonable price !!!
