"My wife and I used to visit this restaurant about 3 years ago when it was labelled as the 1629; however I was aware that it had recently rebranded itself to Bridge 45. So I called the number listed on Bridge 45 website to book a table which was done without issue...this was however the very beginning of our issues. Upon arrival we ventured up stairs to the restaurant to find the door open but nobody home and no tables set etc.... After a short while a staff member approached us and said sorry but we’re closed?! Closed I said, I have a booking?! I was then informed that albeit the restaurant was close our booking was downstairs in another restaurant grill and we were reassured that it was the same menu etc. So we’d venture downstairs, informed them of our booking to be told...no you’re not in here, you’re actually in another restaurant down the street. The other restaurant actually is a pub and one of 3 businesses owned and operated seemingly as one. So having booked to go into the restaurant, to be told you’re now in a grill, to then be told... you’re actually in a pub is a joke. So instead of a nice dining experience we were seated in a bar area next to a gambling machine and a wide screen tv showing a football match. Classy. Before I go any further I’d like to say that I’m not the type to write many reviews but on this occasion I’m so annoyed I don’t want any other poor sole to go through the same dismal experience. So next the food. Awful menu and nothing near anything anyone would expect from a restaurant. So in order to avoid any further disappointment we thought we’d play it safe and have bar meal level of food expecting it to be ok how wrong could be be! We ordered the Beach burger, a dish in the menu that seemed a safe bet. Advertised as a fresh rump steak burger, skinny fries and salad. What arrived was what was clearly a frozen burger that was no thicker than a pencil, and tougher than welly boot. The skinny fries were, thick cut chips deep fried with nothing skinny about them! The staff and service also leaves little to be desired. Lots of very young teenage staff, which I have no issue with at all I may add, clearly have been provided with no train gig whatsoever. Cutlery thrown on the table and very little attentiveness etc. All in all don’t waste your money. Go to McDonalds, Burger King or KFC at least here you don’t expect great level of service but you know you’ll get a reasonable standard of food. Failing that.... treat yourself to a pot noodle."

Unexpectedly good. Great staff, really outstanding food. Fabulous location. So good we booked for the next night. I wish they had a better selection of whisky bearing in mind the 50 distilleries on their doorstep.

I was disappointed with the Sunday Roast I ordered at this restaurant. The Silverside was not the cut of meat that was listed on the menu, and it was cut in a way that made it difficult to eat. However, the price was reasonable and our server was pleasant. Additionally, the young man who served us dessert was also very pleasant and helpful. Visualizza piatti

We ate twice at the Bridge 45 during out delightful stay at Lossiemouth House, a nearby B and B. This was during the Pandemic and nothing more could be done to ensure the safety of the customers. The menu was varied, imaginative and the portions were of an excellent size just right for one of their delightful puddings to end the meal on a high! As for the service it was efficient, friendly and professional. There is no doubt that we will eat here again when next in the area.

Booked at Bridge 45 but were seated next door at the Italian place. Apparently 3 businesses owned by same people and working together. Organisation wasn’t great. Lots of young staff who were pleasant and helpful when called but not very attentive. There were 11 of us! Food was mixed. We booked for carvery but had to ask for carvery menu. Some meals were good taste and value. Others were sub standard. Guinness was warm when pulled in the place we sat but cold when it came from the place next door! Not sure I’d go back.

I had a great experience at this restaurant, but I was disappointed with the owner publicly reprimanding a staff member in front of customers. It was embarrassing and I felt sorry for the young girl. The service was good overall, with even 14-year-old Max doing a great job. The food was decent, although the mussels were cold. The young staff were all polite and friendly. Despite this incident, I have frequented this restaurant many times while visiting Lossie. I will likely return, but will speak up if such behavior happens again. I appreciated being able to taste the wine before purchasing. Thank you Amira, Jack, Max, and Lois for your service. Visualizza piatti

We made a reservation the day before for a party of 8, including a child and a dog. The woman who took our reservation was very accommodating and allowed us to sit outside, which is not something they typically do. When we arrived, one waitress seemed a bit flustered about our large party, which surprised me considering the size of the restaurant. The menu had a wonderful variety of options. The food was delicious, with highlights including fish lasagna, lamb, a special steak, and a steak surf and turf. We enjoyed a lovely view outside, and our dog was very comfortable. The food was fantastic and the service was great. I would definitely come back again!

During a regular jaunt around Lossiemouth, we stopped here for a hot drink on what was a lovely day down at the East Beach. Certainly not our first visit but this one was as good as any other. You really can’t fault the views we normally sit outside as it keeps the wee man entertained. There is always plenty going on along the street. On a good day you can see as far as Buckie as you look along the white sands. We opted for two ‘Lattes’ and they were decent. Really fancied some tray bake with it but there wasn’t any available (may have popped into Ashers Bakery instead)! Always a pleasure stopping here as the Summer approaches we’ll be hoping to pop down more often potentially for an evening...

"Genuinely couldn't fault the experience. When I heard that the Drouthy had a new menu focusing more on a veggie and vegan base, I knew I had to give it a whirl. The starter of hot Smoked salmon with lemon creme fraiche and oatcakes was simple yet packed full of flavour. I could have easily have had 10 plates of that and been happy to give it 5 stars. My partner had the smoked duck and even though I have given up meat, I was salivating at the look of their dish. They assure me that it was as delicious as it looked. Served with lavender roasted potatoes (which I'm told were amazing and charred salsify. The mains were more than a match for the brilliant starters. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be get the beetroot risotto. Not being a massive fan of beetroot, I wasn't too sure about it. But the incredibly warm waiter (for my son's, I never got his name. I only hope he can forgive me if he reads this! assured me it was tasty. He was not wrong. Beautifully cooked vegan risotto with balsamic beetroot chunks, shiitake mushrooms and rocket, it was simply divine. WHEN I go back, I'll be hard pressed to go for anything else because it was so delicious. It was creamy, packed full of flavour and cooked absolutely perfectly. Just the right amount of bite, nowhere near being mush like you get in a lot of other places (who charge a lot more, by the way . Superb. The highest of compliments to the chef. I was so taken by my dish I forgot to ask how my partner's was until I had eaten all of mine. But their home made vegan tagliatelle had disappeared from the plate so it must have been amazing. I couldn't handle dessert so had a delicious ruby port (delaforce I think it was called , and I would also like to give credit to whoever came up with their wine list. It covered every single base and no-one could ever be disappointed. Finally, if you're ever in Elgin, please make sure this is one of your destinations. You will leave extremely happy."
