Called in for breakfast. Was asked if it was takeaway or sitting in which it was in their covered over area. Poached eggs on soggy toast in a takeaway box with flimsy plastic knife and fork was not what I was expecting. It was very...disappointing as this place used to be excellent. There is no waiter service.

I have just had to admit defeat to the 55 Club Sandwich. The size of a small holding with Chicken, bacon, all the usual but on a mahoosive scale. If you are hungry share one as it comes with fries. If you feel like a...challenge then I wish you luck and a small crane to extract you from the chair when finished!! Oh yes it tastes so good and the service is excellent!! Big thank you folks! today with the family to lunch. really disappointing, eating was tasteless, presentation was bad and service was also not great. I ordered chicken goujons for £8.95, received four goujons with a little iceberg salad sauce, I asked where the fries where and was said that would be an extra £3.95 the toilets where dirty and no soap in one of the donators. Terrible food and experience. Called in Sunday 12 September for lunch. Got nice table overlooking strand. Ordered 2 seafood chowders and 2 sparkling water. Chowder was awful, a disgrace to any chef that could send them out. Butter flowing on top of potato with about...10 bits of fish. Told our server, he spoke to the manager, then didn't return to us until I requested bill. Then didn't acknowledge us after that. Brought it to the attention of the bar server talking payment, he was embarrassed but couldn't do anything. So full charge.

This is in a beautiful stop where you can look out to sea. We arrived during breakfast where there was still numerous tables inside (not too warm outside). Coffee was nice but they didn’t have any fruit tea, not the biggest problem but would have...been nice. I was told the custard tarts were tasty. The French toast was ok but the toast wasn’t as light and fluffy as normal. My avocado on sourdough was tasty, especially with the chimichurri. I was not impressed with the service and food in this place. Firstly we all queued up to order for other families. When it came to my sister in law they would not serve hot food they suggested a sausage roll. The food for each...group came at different times and then they decided to serve no more drinks/alcohol for our meals. We complained to management in which he decided to assist us. The gravy was like sauce, my lasagne was very dry and seemed it had been sitting a while. Then we had burgers etc did the job. My main issue was the staff running the place were very young and didnt seem to know what they were at and for a business you would go above and beyond to serve as much food and drink... visited with my hubby 2 children beginning 1. mai. we always loved to come here, but we can't see each other again. in general, the standards have fallen throughout the round. but our main theme was some of the employees. it seems as if there were a lot of new employees and probably need a better training. but my question was the kind of some of the young female employees who are now working there. they really do not hide the fact that they are really not disturbed to be there. we went to drinking with my son. he's a slower eater. avoid them at all costs! the worst we ever had. first of all, when they go in no one big they are sure what to do. we sat on a dirty table while we found out everything. I went in and asked. a coworker for menus. I was directed to a dirty rack on the wall. plastic coated menus dirty with fat. we should have gone! I asked that the table be cleaned twice before I did it myself. you have to pay for eating first and we know why now!
