"We were really looking forward to this restaurant as the place looks lovely and always seemed to have a lot of locals eating there. Sadly this was not the case for us. We ate here as a couple and we were so so disappointed. We had an older man serving us and he honestly displayed some of the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen. We both had steaks. My steak, a fillet, was actually nice and well cooked to a medium but the potatoes that came with it were dry and ice cold like they had been in a fridge? My boyfriend ordered a sirloin and it was meat that you would feed to a dog! It was roughly 95% thick, chewy fat with very little meat and even though he asked it to be cooked to medium, the outside was burnt and towards the bone on the steak it was literally blue for what little meat it had on it. It was the worst steak I had ever seen. We were never approached once by our waiter and when I was still picking from my plate he came over and said “finished?” And before I could answer took our plates. He then brought our bill when we had full drinks, which were also our first and only drink, and then followed with the card machine for us to pay. Not once did we ask for any of this and we felt so rushed and uncomfortable. This was at roughly 9pm and yet there was still locals being catered to and receiving good service. The younger waiters seemed lovely and I wish I had complained at the time but my boyfriend did not want us to cause a fuss but the older man and awful steak really ruined this experience for us."
