Castelnuovo Trattoria E Pizzerie

Absolutely fantastic meal! From the wine service, to pizza ending with a table side prepared tiramisu! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who passes through Naples!

Eravamo un gruppo di sette persone e abbiamo trascorso una serata meravigliosa qui a cena. La pizza, la pasta e l'aragosta erano deliziose, ma il tiramisù era fantastico! Consiglierei sicuramente questa gemma.

Siamo stati immediatamente accolti dal personale molto gentile che ci ha consigliato alcuni piatti dal menu. In modo molto bello siamo stati protetti dalle salse con dei "bavaglini" di carta purtroppo solo con il disegno di un fiocco: manca il modello da signora con la collana e per finire ci è stata offerta una liquore amaro artigianale. Consiglio vivamente questa trattoria!

We went for dinner, and the experience was excellent. The food was brilliant, my gnocchi sorrentina and my girlfriend's pizza diavolina alike. the stand out was the service though they were incredibly receptive, and patient with my broken Italian, and easily communicated in both English and Italian warmly to the both of us. Daniele especially was very helpful, attentive, understanding, and his crafting of the tiramisu right in front of us was a highlight! 10/10 experience.

Abbiamo apprezzato così tanto questo ristorante che abbiamo mangiato lì due giorni di fila. Il cibo è perfetto, molto gustoso e servito bene. Avevano la migliore parmigiana che abbia mai assaggiato, ottima pasta con vongoli, pizza fritta... Dovresti assolutamente provare il loro tiramisù, lo preparano davanti a te, un'esperienza interessante. Il servizio è eccellente, tutti i camerieri erano molto professionali e gentili. Torneremo sicuramente la prossima volta che verrò a Napoli.

The service staff were fantastic, very friendly attentive. Unfortunately, I had seafood for starters mains spent the day after being very unwell sick. The seafood must have been dodgy. It’s a shame, because the staff were brilliant they never usually have issues like this. My friend had a veggie dish, which was great. I feel awful about writing a negative review, because the staff were absolutely fantastic very welcoming. However, a day of my holiday was wasted in bed due to illness. I’ll go for dishes without seafood in future.

Siamo appena usciti da questo ristorante e devo lasciare una recensione perché è stato eccellente. Servizio perfetto, tutte le persone che lavorano lì erano molto professionali ma senza esagerare, solo il giusto equilibrio. Ho assaggiato il tartare di gamberi di Mazara Del Vallo e devo dire che è come se non avessi mai assaggiato gamberi prima!!! Gusto incredibile... E tutto il resto del servizio è stato davvero eccellente! Le persone erano molto attente a te e il cibo era semplicemente perfetto... Raccomando vivamente questo posto!

We all wanted to try pizza in the place where it was invented and really enjoyed this spot that was about 6-10 minutes (by foot from the port. We started with the fried appetizers (fried mozzarella, zucchini, etc. that was really great. I liked that when I cut into the fried mozzarella, milk actually came out and it tasted fantastic. I also tried the Pizza Margherita and it was so good that I wish I had been able to eat it all. We each ordered a pizza for ourselves and there was so much food. The best part was that all of the food was reasonably inexpensive (we ended up paying more for a beer than a pizza! but the quality was superb. I was looking for somewhere to eat good seafood and crudi (raw seafood) and came here not knowing what to expect. On recommendation, I went for the plate with shrimps from Mazara del Vallo, langoustines, clams and oysters. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. I also got the squid and it was cooked perfectly. While many places overcook or fry the squid, this restaurant prepared it in a way that was the perfect texture and you could actually taste the authentic flavor if the squid.
