Only stopped for a breakfast. Prices were reasonable quality of food was excellent. Service was brilliant very friendly and helpful.

Used the restaurant not the hotel. Very polite and helpful staff, on street parking but able to park right outside the restaurant. Food quality is good and is freshly cooked.

I decided to stop by this restaurant for some tea and cake. I was impressed by the great service and charming family atmosphere. The cake was delicious and definitely worth trying. Visualizza piatti

Worst fish and chips I’ve genuinely ever had. Don’t waste your money. Batter is awful and if you order scampi take your microscope with you so you can find it amongst all the batter !

The food and service at Charles' are excellent. I enjoyed having chips and sausage with a pint of John Smith's, which was of very good quality. I cannot fault them in any way. Their service is 100 percent.

First time eating at Charles restaurant. Husband and I had bacon sandwich and pot of tea each. Lovely fresh bread and bacon and great friendly service. We sat outside, the tables and the restaurant are very clean and they have good clean toilets for the customers. Would definitely eat there again

As we walked by, two gentlemen greeted my wife and me with a good morning, even though they were not expecting us. When we decided to enter the restaurant, they were not overly attentive, simply informing us to take a look at the menu and signal when we were ready to order. They were very accommodating and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place. The staff, composed of a polite young man and an elderly gentleman, were both lovely.

With lots of choices for places to eat in Matlock Bath, we decided to try somewhere new today, and we weren't disappointed! All staff were super friendly and our waiter was very engaging, he talked through the menu with me and my wife (I went slightly off menu and they were very accommodating) and even some to and listened to my 2 sons. Food was great, service was excellent (and very fast) and the food was great value for money. If you want your fish and chips in the comfort of a restaurant, rather than a chip shop.
