We wandered into Chez Bartolo a little jet lagged at 10pm without a reservation and my party of four was quickly seated by a gruff manager.

Bartolo mixes nicely tradition, in the best italian way, and modern convenience. Pizzas are great, some of the best in paris, osso bucco, fegata etc.

pizza dough is absolutely divine, one rarely eats such a good pizza in Italy. High quality ingredients. I tasted the gnocchi also that were very good and very tasty. We'll be back with pleasure! Visualizza piatti

Completely stumbled upon this gem! What a treat for Italian food in Paris - highly recommend. The pesto pasta with the burrata base was really lovely - - as was the calzone! Nice 'break' from traditional French fare on a long holiday!

We went there 4 friends, one was late and staff let us quiet to wait the late one: that is so nice and rare in Paris. Thanks!Wine from several regions of Italy, desert a bit pricy but excellent (baba with lemoncelo). For the food, obviously it was good, but I was expecting something more exceptional, considering the history of the place (oldest pizza of Paris). Prices are in the range of the 6th district of Paris.

All right, I know, we are in Paris France and where do we go to eat our first meal, an Italian restaurant! But, this was just a few steps from our condo and after a long flight, and it being just about dinner time, we stopped in. And are we glad we did. It was so cozy and welcoming, we felt relaxed. We came here spontaneously and wanted to eat a Pizza because we heard that it is one of the best in Paris. Restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly but the Pizza we had were not very tasty and nothing special. My daughter had Spaghetti and you could even count the Spaghetti on the plate. The biggest deception was the price for all that. With 17€ for a normal Pizza and 12€ for a tiny Pasta you just feel ripped off. We do not recommend to go here "just because it is one of the first Pizzeria in Paris" for a better Pizza you can go anywhere else.

I must say that when the sun is back in paris there is only one place i race to get a table and that is " chez bartolo".Here you really want to come with friends , sit down share a few starters. My favorites are their vitello tonnato, the caprese salad and the endives gorgonzola.Main course is always a debate, the pizzas are always fabulous my favorite being the gorgonzola, but i do love the vongole here.Being a wine lover, this is one of the rare italiens where you do have a great choice of wines. Personally though on the sunny terrasse they have a great rosé.Do not go to paris and miss this place.

Since we had had such a large late lunch, we wanted something lighter for dinner. We had passed this place while walking through the neighborhood and noticed they had brick oven pizza which was just what we wanted. We sat on the patio which had a glass enclosure and had a very good burrata and pizza margharita while enjoying people watching.A couple came in and sat near us. Apparently, they were long-lost friends of the owners because they had a running conversation during the whole meal with short breaks for taking care of the customers.
