Comfort Food - Menu

Great breakfast. Been there on many occasions but never reviewed. Ordered BASIC sausage, bacon, egg and toast option which was amazing. Other options available including vegan and breakfast rolls which are great. Great value for money and fast friendly service. Remember to take cash.

I recently visited a charming café in the city center for breakfast. The portions were generous, so make sure you come hungry! The server was well-informed and accommodating. They offer gluten-free bread, so they can easily substitute it for any dish that includes bread. Overall, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and the food was delicious.

The food was okay and the service was good. Unfortunately, they only accept cash and they added VAT to the bill after we finished our meal, at the register. There was no indication on the menu that prices did not include VAT, so it was surprising to see it added at the end. It seems like there may be something shady happening here. I will not be returning.

Popped in for a late lunch/early dinner after a long hike outside town. Comfort Foods is a diner in downtown Inverness. All the food we got was obviously homemade with care. My husband said the fries were the best he had since his Auntie Ann was alive. (That’s saying something). Cash only. The portions were huge. Don’t forget to get sweets across the street after.

Visited this restaurant today, a lovely friendly welcome from the staff. The quality of the food is superb and served piping hot. The macaroni cheese was amazing. The all day breakfast was outstanding. The soup and roll with chicken was excellent. The service we received from Bethany was 5 star. This restaurant is situated in the city centre,very handy for shops etc. do not hesitate to visit it,you will not be disappointed.

Food was ok and seemed to be reasonable priced for Inverness until we paid Cash, as they dont accept Card, and our meals had 20% VAT added on at the till! I looked for where this is mentioned on the Menu,at the table or ouside on menus at he door, but couldnt find any mention of this.. didnt seem right to me... and not usual for Inverness- price should include VAT... and cash only too... Does this feel strange to anyone else?

We stopped here for lunch while visiting inverness for the day… Lunch was out of the world total fault less big portions and home made comfort food just what needed on start of autumn… We was not aware it was cash only but husband popped along to cash machine job done simple as that… I am all for cash payments why should they loose money on everyone who eats there because of card machine fees good on them for doing this… Would most definitely return.

Have been to Comfort Foods several times for lunch. It's a lovely and busy small cafe. It's conveniently located near Eden Court so always go when visiting the theatre. Macaroni Cheese is a must. Food is lovely, very big portions and quick service. Staff are polite and helpful. On our last visit one meal had been forgotten by the kitchen, staff were very apologetic and rectified the issue promptly. Can't ask for any better. Remember to bring cash as cash only. Will certainly return when next in Inverness.

I've eaten here before today and I knew from this experience that the portion of food on the all day breakfast is vast. I'm not sure why there is not the option of a small breakfast when there is a regular and a large. The regular has two of each item and I understand that the large breakfast is three of each item. Would a small breakfast of one of each item not be an option? I'm raising this as today I saw huge amounts of food being left on peoples plates and being dumped. While the owners don't seem to mind this because the customer has paid for the food, surely now we are much more aware of waste and the environment would the small option not be viable for the customer?
