Had a lovely lunch today with the family whilst taking a stroll around the pier, staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was tasty. If you're in the area and want to sit down with your fish and chips I'd recommend visiting Copperfish

I ordered a sausage in batter and chips to take away. The food was standard ‘chippy’ fayre but delicious nonetheless. This restaurant serves the best gluten-free fish and chips I've ever had! In fact, they have the best fish and chips overall. They have a separate gluten-free fryer and fantastic gluten-free batter. I highly recommend it for lunch. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.

We arrived at the restaurant in the evening to find a short wait. It took a while to be served, and we were disappointed to learn they were out of haddock, mushy peas, and gherkins. Despite this, we decided to order cod and chips and patiently waited for our meal. The wait was worth it, as the fish and chips were the best any of us had in a long time. The batter was thin and crispy, the fish cooked perfectly, and the chips were not greasy, but hot and fluffy inside. Service was for take out and the meal was for dinner, costing between £1-10 per person. Overall, we rated the food a 5, service a 4, and atmosphere a 4. We highly recommend trying the cod!
