"Stopped here for lunch with husband and 18 month old. Food was typical pub food, of a reasonable standard if rather overpriced for what it was. We were the only customers the whole time and in hindsight I can see why! The man at the bar was distinctly unfriendly when my husband asked for the Wi Fi password he was told that it was for hotel guests only (apparently spending over £40 on food and drink doesn't entitle you to 30 minutes of wifi use! . After our meal we had to change my toddler's clothes as he had got soup all down himself (not on the floor I hasten to add . While changing him I noticed his nappy was full (wee, not poo so given that there were no baby change facilities and the dining room was completely empty I thought I'd quickly change his nappy then and there. Now I appreciate that this wasn't ideal on our part, but the staff's reaction was totally disproportionate! A lady, who we hadn't seen before up to this point, came out to tell us off. I apologised and explained that I hadn't originally intended to change him there. Instead of graciously accepting my apology, she continued to berate me about it. It was completely over the top. People like that just shouldn't work in hospitality."

Great homemade chips, along with the best steak pie I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The fish was great too.

I think the title I have given says it all! Warm welcome, good selection of good food with generous portions, good service. And we shocked when the bill came. Because it was so much LESS than usual these days! Next time we are passing this way, we will be calling in

I went to this hotel restaurant with friends on Saturday night. I had made a reservation, which was a good idea because it was quite crowded. The owner was very friendly. The menu had a wide variety of options and the prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious. I would definitely eat here again if I am in the area. Visualizza piatti

What a rude man. Parked up prior to a walk. We were not given an opportunity to discuss dinner that evening by the owner. Took our £5, when I tried to get his attention by tapping on his widow....Basil returned and returned my £5 and I was told to get off his property. Seriously what a numpty. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family

We ate dinner here on 2 nights over a weekend. Great menu choice for such a small venue. Choice for everyone from traditional meals likes steak pie and lasagne, plus curries and pizza. Lovely setting, rustic, but comfortable with log burner stove making it nice and cosy and beautiful location on the edge of Loch Tay. Really friendly helpful staff/owners. Looking forward to visiting again : .

During our stay near Loch Tay, we enjoyed two evening meals at Loch Tay View. It also served as a convenient spot for a quick drink after walking the dog. The hotel allows walkers to use their car park for a small fee, which is reimbursed if you order food. I highly recommend trying the delicious fish and chips and the peppery steak and ale pie. The homemade chips were a nice touch compared to the typical packaged fries at other pubs. The portions were generous and we left fully satisfied. Visualizza piatti

Spent no money and three minutes here today. Drove past on our way to a walk and saw sign Tea and Coffee. Started to doubt the welcome here and first impressions were completely correct. Bar man did not smile or say anything. I, the would be customer, wanting to spend holiday money, asked for tea but there was none. This was a hotel on a Monday afternoon. After putting boots back on as you have to remove them in a bar, we ran back to the car. Avoid this hotel and go to the Watermill at Aberfeldy.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant has an old-fashioned charm, especially the bar, and a cozy, warm atmosphere. There was a wide selection of dishes to choose from, but we opted for two large pizzas. They were generously sized, not the thin and crispy Italian style, but thick, juicy, and loaded with cheese. The beef lasagna was also a pleasant surprise, with a large portion and better cooked than most other places. The meat and ale pie was another standout dish. We ended our meal with a taste of whisky from the bar, which was a nice touch. We were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of food provided,...

"We visited to see the Beatrix Potter Exhibition with family who were visiting and spent a lovely hour going around the exhibition, however our nice time was rudely interrupted by the elderly lady working in the cafe with dyed black curly hair. We have one child with serious allergies, so instead of one child feeling left out and risking cross exposure, we packed safe snacks for all the kids going anywhere with allergies is an absolute nightmare, so we always do this. Most places are trained and appreciative of how hard it is to eat out with allergens and happy to make reasonable adjustments for this. All four adults ate from the cafe. When part of our order was delivered, we were told “this isn’t a picnic area, you can’t eat your own food, you wouldn’t take food in to McDonald’s” (whilst looking at the 2 year old eating her snacks) when I responded yes I actually would, we have a child with allergies, she asked if it was serious allergies to which I said yes and she scoffed and left, no apology, nothing. I must add that whether the children would be eating or not, they would still have to sit at the table and take up the same amount of space. Would the children also be prevented from sitting because they didn’t buy from the cafe? Still waiting on my food order twenty minutes later and having already finished my coffee and frustrated at the wait, I asked for a refund as we now felt hurried to leave because of how upset she was at the children eating snacks at the table without purchasing them in their cafe. I got the refund for my missing meal and we left without going to the shop or seeing the other art, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent just shy of £100 in the place and to be spoken to like that was horrible. The elderly employee with dyed black hair really needs some training on customer service and manners. The way she looked at us as we left was awful, we will not be returning. This place is not welcoming of children or those with allergies I dread to think how they would react to someone who is tube fed, probably told to eat outside just avoid."
