"If you find yourself in Dunkeld, be sure to visit the Country Bakery. The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful! During our lunch visit, we enjoyed a selection of sausage rolls, a broccoli and chicken pasty, and shared a mouthwatering toasted Italian chicken sandwich. It was so good that one of our friends couldn't resist getting one for themselves. We also picked out a variety of pastries to enjoy later on the coach, but unfortunately they were mistaken for trash and thrown away by our driver at our next stop. They looked too good to pass up though! Don't miss out on a visit to the Country Bakery - let them know the Americans sent you!"

Humble but nice little bakery. And the welcome was kind.

Excellent food, excellent service. Enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended. I'd love to come back but I'm a tourist and leaving the area.

Nice coffee and cake. Service was friendly and efficient. Soup is available with a sandwich. Look forward to the next time we are in the area.

My husband and I popped in for a quick lunch on Saturday and enjoyed the macaroni cheese pie and beans and the black pudding roll. We rounded off our meal with a yummy yum yum. The girl who served us was very friendly and polite.

We stopped by for a quick meal. I ordered the butternut squash soup, while my husband got the quiche. I also tried a piece of the shortbread, which was delicious. I wished I could have tried all of the other desserts because they all looked amazing.

Just love this little place. Have been going for years. The array of cakes and pies is amazing. My favourite are the Cornish pasties and vaniilla slices. It is small and friendly and run by lovely.people. Would never go anywhere else when we visit Dunkeld Visualizza piatti

I stopped by after work this morning to grab one of the delicious huge scones I saw in the window and ended up purchasing two sausage rolls. They were pork and black pudding and pork and caramelized onion. Clearly homemade, they were both incredibly tasty. My favorite was the caramelized onion one. The bakery was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything I saw looked so appetizing that it was hard not to buy everything.

We stopped here on our way back to our holiday cottage and were blown away by the friendliness of the staff, value of the food and the size of the scones! We got in just before the shop was closing but the staff didn't batter an eyelid and happily served us. Between us we had both the cheese and fruit scones...what can I say. They were both the biggest and tastiest scones we have ever eaten. We even took some home and had them the next day and they were still delicious. This is an absolute must if you are in the area!

"We stumbled across this place on the last night of a fortnight in Scotland and couldn 't be more glad that we did and that they had space. We were seated promptly (underneath the fan thankfully considering the heatwave), asked whether we 'd eaten there before (we hadn 't), had the menu explained to us (suggested 3 tapas per person) and then left alone briefly to consider the menu. Once ordered, drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, followed by breads dips to tempt tide us over until our tapas arrived. It wasn 't very quick, but I didn 't think it was unduly long either just the right length of time for non fast food that is being prepared freshly. And when it arrived, we were delighted as it was delicious! The only slight disappointment was that salted cod wasn 't available, but that was soon forgotten. My personal favourite was the poached chorizo in red wine with honey glaze, but we were happy with all of our options (patatas bravas, haggis balls, pinchas de pollo, spinach chickpea stew, haddock in red pepper sauce and Spanish tortilla the latter really made by the spicy tomato salsa on the side). 5 between the two of us would probably have sufficed, which would have meant I had space for one of the ice creams, but in hindsight, I 'm glad I didn 't. Excellent service, delicious food, our best meal of our holiday. We probably won 't be back (living in Birmingham and all) but definitely would if we were local."

"This place has all the potential for a 5 star experience and you may well have it by going here! Unfortunately, we did not and it's worth explaining why. For context, we didn't stay overnight just had a meal in the restaurant one night and went to the beer garden another. Restaurant: Food was generally very good and prices reasonable. I'd especially recommend the tempura chard if it's on the menu! The setting of the restaurant is also lovely. However, we ended up waiting about an hour between starters and main meal 2 people . We were advised approx 40 minutes into the wait that one of the mains was no longer available and a substitute would be provided there was some gnocchi improvised from potato mash involved. Service were on top of this though and did remove this item from the bill. So in summary, good elements involved but a couple areas that could do with attention. Beer garden: We went along to the beer garden to catch the rugby world cup final. This was sadly quite a disappointing experience that ended up with the limited attendance clearing out before half time . In short, coverage only started after national anthems. No sound other than via headphones ?? , which didn't work ?! . Pizzas were pretty tasty but the cheese was stringy as a ball of yarn positive with no cutlery or tissues provided negative . And at c. £16 per pizza, felt a bit cheated by the whole experience. The rooms themselves look lovely and I'm sure on a summer's day if you're looking to enjoy some drinks and a bit of food in a lovely setting, the Taybank probably covers exactly what you're looking for! They also run a traditional music session in the main bar on a Thursday evening, which is absolutely worth checking out! But I'm afraid for us, it's unlikely we would rush back for anything other than that."
