Fabio's Gelato - Piatti

My son loves this place for a special treat. We went for his birthday and He recommends the pancake and maple syrup gelato. Delicious!

Gorgeous ice cream, full of flavour and so creamy. Our son had his first ever ice cream here, a big day for us! We will be going again next week.

I feel the need to put an updated review. We've visited many times since their move to the square and they have always been incredibly smiley and friendly, everything has been perfect, even being served in the last seconds before they close for the day. I went in to Fabios when it was very busy, however the employees were handling the pressure very well, especially Ines. I ordered a Biscoff millshake and it was made to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely get it again! Fabulous employees and a fabulous milkshake! Well done Fabios and Ines!!!

Visited all summer so thought to leave a review. It got me through a very hot summer . Gelato to die for. Please open a shop in Stevenage You will be packed!! My favourite is black cherry but also love pistachio and various other flavours . Friendly staff too. I was never into ice cream so much before I visited here.

Some of the best Gelato I have tried, the peanut and hazelnut flavours are fantastic. The staff are very friendly and very apologetic when the queues are long, however with gelato this good you don't mind waiting! Absolutely sensational. We had an amazing assortment of scotch eggs each delicious. I had the strawberry cheese cake valentines special completed with a Colin on top, which in these times, is an absolute steal! Wonderful,attentive, smiley service. Special shout out to Ines for managing our large order and accommodating our strange tea request. Pay rise deserved! The biggest disservice was that we didn’t have any cash to tip. Highly recommend!

I've visited twice recently and the first time I had the pistachio ripple and vegan chocolate, in a chocolate dipped cone. It was absolutely delicious, probably the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. The second time (a week later lol) was chocolate and salted caramel. The chocolate was nice, but I much preferred the richness of the vegan version. The salted ice cream was nice, but a little too sweet for me. The Biscoff brownie was probably the best brownie I've ever had. Seriously good. I wish I had the recipe. Highly recommend.

On holiday from Scotland, we visited Hitchin on a Friday afternoon and went into Fabio 's for some treats. We ordered a range of items cakes, hot drinks and gelato. All was going great! Until we went to pay... 'sorry, we don 't accept Scottish bank notes. We didn 't make this decision the owner did. He doesn 't accept them as we can 't tell if they are real or fake '. We were gobsmacked. Fabio 's Gelato was only place we visited in England that didn 't accept Scottish notes. If you have an issue accepting bank notes from the greatest country of all time as payment, please invest in a counterfeit machine or pen to check the notes your customers are using are real.
