Falls New Lanark Mill

I was truly disappointed; the quality has declined since my last visit. The only highlight of the hotel is the wonderful view.

The hotel has excellent facilities. The Heritage Museum is a fantastic experience for both children and adults. I highly recommend paying a visit. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5

Love this unique hotel on the banks of the Clyde. Fab scenery, great food, wonderful staff, very comfortable rooms and well worth a visit to the Heritage centre not forgetting the ice-cream made on site! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Smashing place, full of architectural history. The staff were A1 from reception to the bar staff. The room was very comfortable and loved the features of the old mill structure. Visited here in august, fantastic service at spa, let down by reception and some of the wait staff. We booked a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast deal and had main and dessert. We were then told it was supposed to be starter and main desert not in the deal. The wait staff and receptionist claimed it was in the small print. Have yet to find any small print relating to this but such a restriction should be plainly stated on the website. To be fair after arguing the toss the charge for dessert was removed but the receptionist the next morning was quite combative about the situation. All in all disappointing.

I really enjoy staying here whenever I'm in Scotland for work. The location is breathtaking, and the nearby walking paths are fantastic in the evening. I booked a riverside cottage, which offers excellent value for money along with beautiful views of the river. It's incredibly soothing to listen to the water at night. Overall, I don’t have many complaints, but I was a bit let down by the quality of the beef burgers in the restaurant. I found the meat disappointing in both quality and texture considering the price; it lacked flavor and seemed like it had been cooked from frozen. Fresh burgers make such a difference! We went for a few days rest and that’s what we got first it was great to see the hotel had all local staff fantastic the staff at the pool you will never get any better we were in twice a day they cleaned the changing rooms they did water tests etc well done fantastic pool rooms were extremely clean great shower iron hair dryer tv tea coffee biscuits the house keeping staff were also fantastic as was the staff at the breakfast the food was quantity as was the service my only concern was the rip off bar prices they were ridiculous from someone that knows what they purchased the wine and spirits and beers it was cheaper to eat in the town again the prices were not expensive it’s a 3 min drive...
