Myself and 3 friends were staying just up the road from here, so decided to eat at “the local” food was very basic, resembled “school dinners”had an extremely long wait so very disappointed when the food finally arrived! Would not recommend need to hire a new chef!

We visited New Years Day as recommended by the owners of the cottage we were staying. Just down the road a great local pub. We were made to feel very welcome, and could have also taken in our dogs. The carvery was delicious, all home cooked and fresh! Will definitely be back!

This place is so friendly, staff and locals. Great atmosphere. Food is delicious, we’ve tried the homemade lasagne, huge portion tasted amazing and the Sunday lunch, everything cooked to perfection. Nice log fires going. Dogs welcome too. Quiz night on a Sunday eve and live band once a month. Have a pool table which comes in handy. Great find, can’t wait to come back. Visualizza piatti

We went for a family meal there on a Thursday evening. Only pizza on the menu, which would have been fine but it took over an hour for our three pizzas to come out. The staff weren’t great at dealing with this, mumbling about it being busy even though we only saw two plates come out while we waited. Really loud group in the bar (apparently someone had just had a baby) also made for an unpleasant wait.

Group of seven and our dog went for a meal here on a horrible wet miserable evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Dogs are allowed in the upper bar and are made just as welcome. Nice selection of beers, wine and ciders, really friendly bar staff and good home made pub food. OK, the menu is not huge and it ain't fine dining, but it's good and honest, fresh and local produce. Puds are good too! Not expensive either. Would thoroughly recommend it if you're in the area.

What a lovely pub. Had the best carvery I’ve ever eaten. The local beef was tender and cooked to perfection and the Turkey was succulent and full of flavour. All the vegetables had that fresh cooked taste and texture often missing from a carvery. GF, DF and vegan options were available. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was up there with the best I’ve tried (and that’s a lot). The staff were super friendly and took the time to talk to us. Dogs are welcome which was great for our Alfie.
