"The Top Bar offers a lovely, quiet, and cozy atmosphere, featuring just three tables with around 14 seats, creating an intimate dining experience. For lunch, we enjoyed salmon wrapped in prosciutto, accompanied by black forest cheesecake and whisky crème brûlée for dessert. The salmon was rich yet complemented beautifully by the prosciutto, and it was served with a well-flavored celeriac cake that stood out on the plate. Among the desserts, the crème brûlée was indulgently rich, creamy, and generously sized, while the cheesecake skillfully combined chocolate with cherries in kirsch, resulting in a delightful treat. The service was prompt and friendly, making for a wonderful lunch in a charming setting."

"What can I say about this hidden gem.. Wood N Ribbon is set in beautiful surroundings, pretty, quaint and absolutely full of character. I was blown away the second we got there. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a warm welcome and made to feel extremely comfortable. The food was delicious and I would be bold enough to say that the coleslaw was the best I have tasted. The children’s menu was great and my little niece thoroughly enjoyed it. The outside area was amazing with farm animals for everyone to enjoy. It’s a great place for families and also just to relax and unwind. Will definitely come back. Thank you Steve, Monika and family for a wonderful visit. I highly recommend to all"

"I'm a regular customer who loves to get some breakfast from Greggs after my night shift. I arrived here hungry and tired from my night shift only to find they were not open yet despite their opening time being stated as 8am! I waited for nearly 20 minutes before they opened at 9.25am! When I got inside there were no hash browns and they weren't making any either! I was so sad and disappointed I wanted to cry. Yesterday I wanted a vegan sausage roll but they were all out of those as well! Not what I needed after a nightshift Please just make sure there are enough hashbrowns cooked because I love them and they are hardly ever available at this branch."

"Visiting for the weekend and we've been past this many times and commented how nice it looked but had never been in. So we booked a table as an early Valentine's meal for the two of us and our dog, who was welcomed warmly and...given a piece of duck fillet. Lovely starters I had the chicken and chorizo terrine and my wife had the mini cheese fondue thing (I forget its name). Both delicious. My notoriously picky wife didn't fancy any of the four main courses (venison, beetroot, pollock and belly pork) so they were kind enough to do some beautifully cooked slices of beef steak instead of venison, with the sides being the same. I had the venison. Absolutely delicious, with a lovely chocolate and juniper jus and a lovely soft dauphinoise accompaniment. Whilst the mains were superb, the desserts were perhaps even better. Whoever does their pastry is an artist. My wife had a rhubarb and custard mille feuille and I had the passionfruit tart. On both the pastry was wonderfully thin and just melted in your mouth. Service was quick and very friendly. Can't fault this place."

"On a beautiful Tuesday in August, my mother, our friend, and I decided to go out for a meal. In this area, not everything is open on weekdays for lunch, so I called to see if they were serving, having been there a couple of years ago. I didn't realize that the restaurant is now under different management, but after a quick search on Tripadvisor, the reviews looked good, so we made a reservation for 1pm and headed over. We were greeted by Amy, a lovely lady behind the bar. She was very friendly and couldn't do enough to help (thank you, Amy!). We then sat in the beer garden and chose our meals. We all decided on the two-course £10 menu. My mother went for the ham and potatoes, our friend chose the cod and chips, and I, being more health-conscious as I've been trying to lose weight, asked if I could possibly have the pear and blue cheese salad on the starter menu, but as a main course? Andy was happy to accommodate (thank you, Andy!). Our meals came out, brought by Lydia, who was a cheerful and friendly person and also said it was no trouble to make the salad for me (thank you, Lydia!). I was very grateful, as anyone who has dieted and eaten out will surely understand! Anyway, everything was absolutely delicious! Each meal was well presented and smelled wonderful, and I can honestly say it tasted as good as it looked! 3 very happy people. For dessert, the ladies had Eton mess, and Andy kindly made me a fruit salad with strawberries, pineapples, and pears! It wasn't on the menu, but he allowed me to have 'pud' with the others! Everything was truly wonderful and I can only say good things. We are determined to return as soon as possible to try the evening menu, which looks lovely. Andy (the chef) came out to chat with us after our meal and he was very enthusiastic and passionate about his food, which was really nice to see. He clearly cares a lot about what he serves. Highly recommended!"
