"We visited on Saturday 28th October. Food is fantastic 5 stars we had Set Menu E for three people. Tasty, hot and plenty in each serving. The duck and pancakes were terrific. Seriously everyone was happy. Service was shoddy 3 stars they took the order and payment before telling us we had a 30 minute wait. It turned out to be 45 minutes! If we had known it was going to be 45 minutes we would not have placed our order. The staff were boarding on being brusque to customers who were starting to get irritable due to the wait and the feeling of being ignored. One guy had waited 45 minutes for a pancake roll and a chow mein! He was treated pretty discourteously when he asked where his order was. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a takeaway 3 stars because times have moved on and this place is stuck in the past. If service doesn't improve it will be a thing of the past. Wipe your feet on the way out! Good luck!"

The best Chinese takeaway we have found around here. Friendly staff and fantastic, tasty food. Real seaweed not chopped cabbage, and very reasonable prices for such good quality. Tried this take away during our 10 day holiday in Sizewell , the food is delicious , can recommend the Beef Chilly in black bean sauce, salt pepper chicken wings and also the chicken chowmein Singapore style, wish we could have sampled more of the dishes but 3 take aways in 10 days was ore than ample, maybe next time , certainly recommend The Golden House Service: Take out

Very good food and woman serving seems very friendly. The food tasted great, was piping hot and good value. I would say that my Thai Green Curry was certainly not that, but it tasted great so I couldn't care less. For reference, the owner/staff are Malaysian. I think this can reflect on certain dishes and menu items but it still seems an authentic Chinese. Vegetarian options: Make sure you indicate clearly to them.
