Gourmet Full House Chinese Take Away

Ordered a chinese at 19.36 called back at 20.40 to he told they would call the driver and oh look its 21.06pm still not had the delivery then call them and they ignore 3 calls, yet answered to a different number. Funnier thing was paid by card so will not walk down and go in in person for my money back

They have just increased the minimum order amount to £15 from £10. Guys, some of us are single and only order for ourselves. I would have to order stuff I couldn't eat and have to throw it away just to get a delivery. I'm now going elsewhere which is a shame because your food is usually quite good : O(

Visiting Edinburgh from Manchester. Thought we would try a Chinese and did not disappoint. Firstly delivery driver was very friendly and called us so we could pick up at reception on caravan site. Delivery was also very fast! Food arrived hot, large portions and was delicious highly recommend trying this chinese.

We ordered for a delivery on a thursday at 7.10 pm through just eat just eat confirmed delivery would be 8.03pm) at 8.15pm an hour after ordering i called and they advised they were just awaiting driver but would be 5 mons at 8.45pm!!! driver turned up, food ws hot and nice but considering we are paying for the delivery it is shocking xx

This used to be the best Chinese take away in the town but have seen a steady decline over recent months. Unable to pay by card as the machine is broken for months! That itself tells a story I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions! Tonight was the final straw half size portions at full price! I know we’re all feeling the pinch but this was ridiculous and obviously trying to save energy by serving luke warm food. Don’t think I’ll be back, which is a pity because the counter and delivery staff were always friendly and there was always good chat.

We have stayed at Seton Sands Haven site 4 times in 2021. This chinese carry out is our favourite place to order from. The munchies boxes are huge, plenty of food for 2 or 3 people (order another sauce for dipping). The Scots Box is fried rice, chicken curry and onions, again a huge portion that easy feeds 2 to 3 people and we have good appetites. Duck spring rolls, plain chow mein with veg, chicken chow mein, spring rolls all have been so tasty. Kiddies meal of chicken balls (3) and chips with a sauce went down well, everything eaten. When I called to make an order for collection I was told 15 mins only to be left waiting a further 20 mins on arrival. While I was waiting the delivery bag was filled with 4 delivery's that sat on the counter the whole time was still there when I eventually left. The guy's attitude was awful. If it hadn't been for the girl delivery's driver going through the back I would still have been standing there. I called out to them twice and I was completely ignored. Now on to the food ......... cooked within and inch of it's life. The pork was as dry as a stick, the fried rice looked like boiled rice, no egg or colour to mention, the chicken curry has more onions and sauce than chicken. It's a shame...

Made an order via Just Eat at 5pm and asked for a 7pm delivery. Called at 7.20pm to ask if the delivery was on its way and the restaurant advised that the driver left already and was on his way. Called the restaurant again at 7.55pm to advise that the delivery has still not arrived and asked for a refund as I didn’t want to wait any longer. I was advised to contact Just Eat and after 2 live chats and a phone call I’ve managed to get a refund for an order I never had! Group of us staying at Seton Sands on Saturday night ordered a delivery from the Gourmet Full House Chinese take away in Prestonpans via Just Eat at approx 1845 at which time we were advised that meals would be delivered in 40 mins After an hour and 15mins had passed we phoned up Gourmet Full House enquiring when our delivery might be arriving to be told that delivery had not been sent yet as they were waiting on their driver returning at which time they would then cook our order and despatch accordingly.
