The dinner menu offers a selection of duck breast, beef steak, lamb chop, two types of fish, and a vegetarian risotto. The duck breast with blackberry sauce was exceptional, so much so that we ordered it again on our second visit. In my opinion, this restaurant deserves at least one Michelin star.

Loved this hotel in a nice quiet peaceful location but still accessible to towns and villages nearby. Room was very nice albeit on the top floor but worth the view from the window. Room was large and so was the bathroom. There was a good breakfast choice with a nice view of the garden from the restaurant. Were very pleased with our one night stay and would certainly use this place again if in the area and recommended it to friends and family. Rooms: Our room was on the third (top) floor and was of a good size as was the bathroom. Be advised there are no lifts. A truly beautiful place to eat, sleep and relax, lovely areas to chill with a drink on the sofa. A friendly, warm atmosphere with attentive staff. Stunning decor and the best food we have probably ever had. Booked dinner b b plus a cuban jazz event for my husband's birthday. We had such a lovely time and walked miles around the Dorset countryside in the rain the following day! Would recommend this special retreat to anyone. Rooms: Stunning rooms with very tasteful decor, immaculately clean and tidy, posh coffee pods and (not that we used them but) we had dressing gowns and slippers !
