I met up with friends at this restaurant. The setting was lovely and the seating areas were very cosy.

The room was spotless and parking was free! A pleasant surprise was the internet radio in the room as a nice touch.

Beautiful place, wonderful friendly staff, excellent food and beer. Thoroughly recommend it for a meal or a few drinks. Not the cheapest place I've ever eaten at, but the quality of service and food more than justifies the reasonable price of what's on offer.

A rare and spontaneous lunch date with the Mrs. Food was excellent and the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. I went for the class fish and chips which was delicious. Food drinks: Really good quality at a reasonable price. Quite refreshing given how expensive it is to eat out these days.

One of the waitresses at this restaurant has a poor attitude. I ordered a half pint, but she brought me a full pint. When I politely informed her of the mistake, she scowled at me, shook her head, and walked off in a huff as if it was my fault. I've stayed here a few times on work training courses and am looking for an excuse to stay up here just for the rooms. I've never paid much attention to interior design in a hotel until coming here, and now nothing else compares. You can't go wrong with anything on the dinner menu. All of it is exceptional. I wouldn't say the breakfast is as good as the dinner and rooms but still rate this place as 5 stars. The pub downstairs is cool, nice garden, lots of parking, friendly staff. I look forward to staying here every time.

This gastropub deserves a 5 star rating for its rooms. The room was well appointed, excellently designed, and created a warm relaxing atmosphere on arrival (I was particularly impressed with the heating already on and the low volume digital radio playing). We ate very good food at their restaurant during the evening and partaked in very enjoyable cocktails (definitely try the Paloma cocktail perfectly refreshing). Save for the waiter who had forgotten to provide the parmesam cheese we had asked for, it was a faultless experience. A good stay but some details overlooked. My room bin was not emptied from the previous guests. Ornaments in the room on the shelving not dusted for quite some time. Hand wash empty, not replenished from previous guests. It was a lovely warm room, the window was easy to open, it was nice to have the radio already on when we arrived. The bed was really comfortable. polite check-in staff. I Paid for two superior King rooms, friends we were staying with paid less for a cosy King, but were given an upgrade that was nice.
