Warm welcome and delicious traditional German food. The smoked salmon with potato pancakes for starter was divine, the goose leg main course even better! Exactly what we were looking for.

Every time we go to Cologne we make sure to eat here at least once. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff treats us like family. Typical German cuisine at its finest. It is always a highlight of our trip! You can't go wrong no matter what you order.

Strolled into Haus Scholzen for a quick and simple dinner and was blown away!They dished out authentic German food which tasted great and the bar served a great variety of beer.Would definitely recommend this place for visitors to Cologne craving good German cuisine! The only caveat is that the menu is fully in German.

Unfortunately I ordered the wrong one, which was my own fault. I was then able to pass the food on and it was very good according to the eater , just not my taste! Otherwise all very nice there and above all worth supporting! The proud belongs in Veedel! Original Hatte leider das falsche bestellt, was ja aber meine eigene Schuld war. Ich konnte das Essen dann weiterreichen und es war sehr gut laut dem Esser , nur eben nicht mein Geschmack! Ansonsten alle sehr nett dort und vor allem unterstützenswert! This is an astonishing restaurant, packed out and efficient(but in a friendly way!) Goose is the speciality for this time of the year and we were also guided by our friends to have the steak tartare and black pudding starter as an introduction to a typical German meal. Well, the steak tartare was just superb and the black pudding came with a schnapps shot, so another enjoyable first for us! The goose was by far the best I've had. This is a hugely successful restaurant that probably does not need my glowing report but as everyone on the team is working hard for it to be a 'local' and 'typical' venue, I just want to say that if you have the opportunity to go.....do!

without doubt to visit one of the brewhouses in köln. with a spectacular decoration, which is a very cozy inside terrace, just to see it is already worth it. as for the menu it offers what each brewhouse does. the carving is really good and quality is appreciated in the ingredients. the service could not be more friendly and attentive that always round off the experience. original sin duda una de las brauhäuser a visitar en colonia. con un decorado espectacular que incluye un interior muy acogedor, solo por verlo ya merece la pena. en cuanto a la carta, ofrece lo que cualquier brauhaus. el schnitzel es realmente bueno y se aprecia calidad en los ingredients. el servicio no puede ser más amab...

We visited for a New Year's Eve Dinner. The restaurant was very busy of course but both our servers took as much time as needed to patiently explain to us every item on the menu in english with good humour . The food and drink was excellent and at a very reasonable price - absolutely no profiteering because it was New Year. We did receive a couple of items in the wrong order eg prosecco after the starters, but the waitresses were so friendly and patient that it would have been wrong to complain as they were so busy.
