"While the name is not easy for an English speaker, I would recommend Het Stuivertje to others looking for a fine casual meal in Amsterdam. We chose it after carefully reading the various reviews what sold us was the reply to a no taste review. The manager replied that good or bad, the food certainly is tasty.The ambience includes wood tables an adequate distance apart, cloth napkins, no tablecloths, a view to the kitchen. Service was fine, the manager quite personable. One of the chefs brought out a plate, explaining what it was. We started with a fine white asparagus soup and a steamed artichoke, I had a small chicken or squab, perfectly done on a bed of varied tasty vegetables, my companion ravioli with a sauce that the chef explained. It too had nice vegetables tiny brussel sprouts, carrots included.We look forward to returning"

Wij komen hier elk jaar 1x nu met nieuwe eigenaar sinds vorig jaar nog steeds een erg goed restaurant !!

Beetje oubollige keuken.camembert&slakken super flauw.geen smaak aan Vlees ok.maar garnituur stelde niks voor.bleke frieten.béarnaise saus sloeg nergens op.Wijn uit 2015 was 2016.kortom.nuet zo best allemaal.

Bij het Stuivertje word je teruggeworpen naar de jaren 60.Veel flessen en kurken,geen klanten,maar een aardige kok en een iets te aanwezige serveerster.De risotto was gewoon goed,maar de prijzen mogen naar beneden en de kurken/flessen in de container!Een grappige ervaring. Visualizza piatti

Ga dan zéker naar het culinaire pareltje “Het Stuivertje” in de Hazenstraat nabij de Negen Straatjes. Vandaag een heerlijk 3 gangendiner gegeten met een overheerlijke zalm vooraf, eendenbout als hoofdgerecht en eigengemaakte appeltaart na. Stuk voor stuk aanraders, helemaal met de prima combinatie van Chardonay en Merlot. Alles geserveerd met een grote lach aan tafel en passie uit de keuken. AANRADER.

We were staying down the block and found this wonderful French restaurant by chance. While many restaurants are closed on Mondays they are open, and closed Tuesdays. We didn't get the chance to meet Bart, but Mendez was hosting and waiting our first night here. Warm, friendly, and welcoming smile. Everything we had was so delicious, and we ate dinner twice in this wonderful little restaurant. The second night Claudia was the hostess and waited on us, while Mendez and the sue chef (sorry I forgot his name) cooked and served our amazing meal. This place is a hidden gem.
