"Whilst on a short break near Whitby we walked into the town on a sunny hot day. Whilst walking round the centre we happened accross this , what looked like a small tea room, with a dog friendly sign in the window. This'll do we said and were pleasantly surprised to be met by a lovelly waitress who showed us to a table towards the rear which was lovely bright and cool, indicating a table which she said would be handy for the dogs to lie down. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered loaded chips. The fish was huge. Fresh and beautifully cooked and the chips were real chips not out the freezer as is so often the case. Easily the best fish and chips I've had for a long long time. The staff were attentive, helpfull and pleasant. The whole experience a very positive one. Thank you. We will definitely return."

Lovely staff and friendly restaurant. Service great and very attentive to my 4 year old . Fish and chips nice.....shame dint do curry sauce. Good choice for children

A very pleasant environment where we were greeted warmly. The Victoria Sponge was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The only issue was that my husband ordered peppermint tea and was served ordinary tea. However this was soon rectified.

Absolutely delicious fresh fish and chips. Lovely restaurant just off the Main Street in Whitby. Staff were incredibly thoughtful in finding us a quiet corner to sit with our older dog. Servings were generous and the coffee and tea was very good.

Hi visited this little gem today, at 11.00am really helpful staff as they were just changing over from breakfast and we wanted lunch, a very wet day made more pleasant, great food, nothing was too much trouble for them, a jewel in Whitby’s crown wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family friends x

We stopped in for lunch and were warmly greeted by Lois, who owns the place and tirelessly works to make sure everyone is happy with their meals and drinks. The fish sandwich a smaller but still generous portion than the enormous serving you'll receive if you order fish and chips and the cheese toast were delicious, and the chips were excellent. The restaurant also has beers from the local Whitby Brewery. Note that there's a table in the back of the place that's at a window. On a sunny day like when we visited, the view of the river and harbor is stunning.
