"The decor and vibe of this place was the most appealing. The food an anti climax (desserts by far were the best) Starter it was supposed to be a king prawn cocktail, they said they were out of king prawns but will instead give me a huge portion of little prawns. The portion was average and starter basic therefore overpriced for what I was given. Mains crab linguine. If you like garlic then this dish is for you. The crab was flaked but barely visible and I could hardly taste it especially with the overpowering garlic. Friends had pork belly rib which was extremely tasty, full of flavour and the meat was tender Dessert the fried salted caramel ice cream special was amazing. "I attended the restaurant with my partner as it appeared a nice place to eat from the outside. To be honest the choice of food was not really appealing but we were already there so though we would go ahead and order. I chose chicken and my partner ordered steak and chips. The chicken did taste good with the sauce, however I asked for an alternative to mushroom, and noticed that they did not remove it completely. The green beans was a nice alternative but the meal was not filling so it was just chicken in sauce and green beans. The steak had all the flavour but as it was not tender but chewy it left my partner feeling very disappointed. Desert Bramley Apple Crumble with nuts and Ice Cream So there was a lot of sauce that taste like maple syrup (very sweet), could not see or taste any apples and as for the crumble it seemed as if they took a table spoon of crumble and sprinkled over the sauce and called it 'Apple crumble '. To top it all we felt it was over priced. The only one positive I would like to report is the service, Ellie was very professional and made us feel very much at home."

"We were not prepared for the flavour journey Kazoku we're taking us on. Beautiful, simply. Divine. Magical. A journey through taste that we haven't experienced before. The plum wine, the serving of the food in intervals, the clinical knowledge the staff had of the food. We would like to personally commend the chefs for allowing us to try their food. We will be back, we would book a hotel just to visit again. Nothing more needs to be said, visit and divulge into what can only be described as brilliant. Congratulations, phenomenal. Thank you."

"We recently dined at this establishment based on glowing reviews and an intriguing interior. From the moment we entered the small parking area to the warm welcome by a helpful young man, our experience was delightful. The restaurant's decor was captivating, and we were promptly seated at a perfectly arranged table. Our waiter, a friendly and charming gentleman, efficiently took our drink orders, and the haddock fish cakes for starters were truly satisfying. The mains featured a flawlessly cooked 8oz Scottish steak, tailored to my medium preference. The intimate and well-thought-out atmosphere, coupled with the wonderfully friendly staff, made for a memorable evening. We look forward to returning soon and extend our compliments to the chefs for crafting truly spectacular food. Thank you for making our evening truly wonderful."

"Went for dinner here recently. The restaurant is clean and looks good. Atmosphere is nice and tables well spaced. Staff were welcoming and accomodating, especially as we hadn't booked a table. Unfortunately it went seriously even dangerously wrong with the food... When ordering tapas we let the server know that I have an allergy. They provided their allery menu, showing which dishes are safe for various allergies (great! . So we ordered appropriately and repeated the allergy. When our food came out it looked good BUT we ourselves spotted that half the dishes had been covered in what Im allergic to. Fortunately I ate very little before we realised. This is really careless and potentially dangerous for allergy sufferers, as well as causing problems for those with intolerances enforced dietary restrictions. Fortunately my allergy doesn't cause anaphylaxis, so it wasn't life threatening in this case, but mistakes like this could have serious implications. They replaced the dishes plate cutlery and were apologetic, but honestly it was obvious that they didn't grasp how serious this sort of thing could be for others. There was no offer of a discount or a refund on our bill; not that I expect things for free, but maybe for a couple of the affected dishes as a gesture. I had to travel home via train afterwards whilst having an allergic reaction and it took about 24 hours to recover fully. Not fun. So I won't be returning here ever again because I just can't risk this happening. And obviously I cannot recommend to anyone with any allergies or dietary requirements. If you go here and any of your party have any such concerns, be seriously careful. This really isn't good enough in 2023."
