La Fleche Brasserie

Food is good. you are very well received and served. Easy to find . I went to Rouen twice and was please to discover this small place to eat .

When we visited there were few places open to eat in Rouen. This place would be the considered to be a decent "bar food" place in the US. Food was OK.

Not too crowded and this place is popular with the locals. We found it at the side of the cathedral on a square, we had two very good pints of Stella, the service was good.This place is good for people watching and is disabled friendly. Visualizza piatti

I've lived in and have travelled to France for 65 years and never have I eaten as badly as I did at this poor excuse of a brasserie. They tried to pass off their dishes as freshly prepared when in fact they were nothing more than microwaved food. Avoid at all costs.

We ate here twice for a family lunch whilst visiting Rouen. The food was very good with myself having the quiche with a salad. There was a variety of dishes sampled by other family members and there were no complaints. The waiter was very friendly and spoke very good English. It was nice sitting out in the square in the lovely weather. The food was well priced but drinks as with most places in France are more expensive than we are used to. We were pleased with our visit.

We grabbed a table for lunch whilst waiting for the cathedral to open and were greeted immediately by a hard working helpful waiter. In no time I was imbibing an ice cold Leffe beer followed by steak hache and chips. Asking for medium the burger was rare inside (that's the French!) but was delicious. My better half had a salmon fillet with rice and really enjoyed it. Including a soft drink and coffees the bill was €31 which equates to about £22. Arrived late, Rouen was extremely busy and none of us had access to TripAdvisor so we chose this place as it was teeming with people sitting outside enjoying the weather eating a drinking. Had we looked closer we may have realised from the looks on peoples faces that things weren't as they seemed. Waiter took the order really quickly but the wait for food was very long. Food was plentiful however extemely disappointing. Steaks were awful, omlette was cold and runny and wine fairly undrinkable. Kudos though to the one waiter.

This restaurants was an all time low for our 12 day trip throughout France. Rouen, a beautiful city, is marred by this restaurant. A great location; however, it all falls off after that. The waitstaff both French and English speaking could not have been more rude, even to our extremely polite kids. They tried to pass off a mound of rice saturated with dressing as Salad Nicoise. Telling me that this is how it is all over France. Only after telling them I had been all over France over a period of 20 years, and had Never seen Nicosia like this, did they warm up a little bit and actually try to be nice to our children. Too little too late. The Crepes were terrible, as were the pomme firites, waf...

Were lucky to find a table for two on a busy Saturday that was full of English tourists. Unfortunately, after eating our starter we were made to move tables as we'd been placed on a table for 4 which was a bit awkward with our cumbersome coats. Luckily we got on well with the couple we were made to join! Enjoyed our starters of egg mayonnaise and vegetable soup. My partner went for the steak hache and I opted for the escalope Milanese. I thought this would be veal but it turned out to be chicken in a tomato sauce, not good. We didn't spot that the brasserie served omelettes and these looked very good as did the brochettes.
