La Tapa - Piatti

We had a wonderful selection of tapas from fish dishes to meat dishes and lovely patatas bravas. We had paella for although there were of us having learnt from our friends over ordering the previous week. Was really good value.

The location is good with outdoor seating. A tapas restaurant so portion sizes are small, but the menu options are not much varied. Overall for a first time visit it or to have a Spanish cuisine a good place to be. The food tasted ok.

We had lunch here in the afternoon mistake to think they serve lots of tapas instead it took nearly an hour and they brought out the cold and hot tapas all together! Definitely more of a wine-bar. Should have skipped the food. (Although...the tortilla and the chorizo were ok

Sat outside and had a great experience people watching on one of the main pedestrian streets in Old Heidelberg. It took a bit to get someone to offer service. Menu offered good tapas options (beef, veggie, chicken, pork, etc). All tasted good, but could've had...a bit more spice to add to the Spanish tapas theme.

The dishes are tapa-sized, therefore, are small and meant to be shared with your friends. We had octopus, chicken wings, meat balls and shrimp. Plus, a decent selection of wine and other beverages. All the dishes were delicious and came at the same time. The...place was recommended. The place is casual and has a good ambience for a fun time. The server was helpful and personable. We made reservations which was helpful. We will return again when tapas is the appropriate choice.

I'm Spanish, and after living in Heidelberg for several months we decided to go there and try some Spanish food. The place is very nice for having a beer or a coffee. However, every single Tapa we had was totally awful. Extremely bitter ali-oli, frozen...calamari badly fried, somewhat a pre-cooked meat balls with cold sauce... We could see also some tortilla in another table and it was not attractive at all. Finally, the price is maybe twice what you could expect to pay for tapas of that size. So my advice is: Go if you are looking for a nice place for having a beer and talk for a while, but don't expect to have good Spanish food there. Visualizza piatti
